About

From food and recipes to prints and posters.

I am Beth, a graphic designer, illustrator and print maker living in Long Beach, California. My husband, Mark, and I own our own design studio, Hero Design Studio http://www.etsy.com/shop/HeroDesignStudio. We have an adorable dog named, Seri, and two very sweet cats Indie and Jpeg. I have always loved to cook and in 2010 I made a lifestyle change to cooking completely fresh, seasonal, clean and whole. I crave veggies and love to try new things. I am a conscientious omnivore that eats mostly vegetarian, but I occasionally eat meat and seafood when I feel like I can make the morally right choice and buy the meat I feel good about buying. All of the meat and eggs consumed in our house are bought from local farmers that raise their animals on pasture without the use of antibiotics and hormones. I eat a completely gluten-free diet (and have done so for over 6 years), but please don’t let that scare you off, in most of my recipes, you won’t even notice the difference. I try to cook recipes that are gluten-free by nature or make subtle substitutions to make them such.

I have adopted the belief that avoiding processed foods and eating whole and seasonally will completely change the way you feel. For me it started with a 30 day cleanse, and I haven’t stopped since. In 2010, after making this lifestyle change I lost 30 lbs and I never looked back. I have never felt this great in my life. I try to buy ingredients that are local, in season, organic and whole, when available. I don’t like to measure and I cook by taste, so please take that into consideration when reading. For me cooking is all about experimenting and tasting. And yes, sometimes this philosophy fails me. In addition to being addicted to veggies and yoga, I also am addicted to that feeling you get when someone you love takes that first bite of food, that you made especially for them. There is nothing like it.

I recently decided to combine my love creating via design, illustration and printmaking with my love of creating in the kitchen by creating a line of food and kitchen inspired prints.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do and be sure to stop by to look for more new products really soon, I have lots of stuff in the works.

Shipping
INFO FOR EVERYONE:

* eCHECKS: If you pay via PayPal eCheck, that works for us. But we will not ship until the eCheck clears, which is usually 3-5 business days.

* PACKAGING: We ship in sturdy shipping tubes so that your prints arrive safely and in mint condition, with delivery confirmation included for domestic US orders. If your order is for 10 or prints or posters, however, then we do ship flat and well protected.

* SHIPPING ADDRESSES: Don't forget to double check your listed mailing address. If your address in your Etsy OR your PayPal profile is incorrect, please let us know ASAP and we will make sure that your order is shipped to your best & most recent address. If your PayPal and Etsy address do not match, we will attempt to contact you to get the proper address. If we haven't heard from you in a couple days, we will ship your purchases to your ETSY invoice address as the default, provided at the time of purchase, unless you let us know otherwise. We of course just want you to get your stuff, in the fastest time possible. ;-)

* INSURANCE: We do not automatically add insurance unless the item is $75 or more. If you would like insurance added, please contact us at the time of purchase and we can let you know how much more it will be and arrange for payment.

INFO FOR DOMESTIC / US CUSTOMERS:

* Unless otherwise requested, we ship via USPS Priority, typically on Wednesdays.

Let us know in the "Message To Seller" box upon checkout. But note, we cannot be held responsible for the time it takes via this slower shipping method.

* We will send you an email with your Delivery Confirmation number when we've shipped your order. We ship within 5 business days, though usually much much sooner. Delivery Confirmation is included for all US orders.

* We are happy to do expedited shipping w/in the US via FedEx or USPS. Though larger orders may be a bit more the general prices are:

FedEx: 2Day shipping for $16-$25
FedEx: Express Saver shipping for $14-$17
USPS Express (Overnight to most areas) $30-$50

INFO FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:

1) We gladly ship anywhere in the world!

2) International orders are shipped via First Class International (USPS) which at this time, offers no tracking. We cannot be held responsible for packages that are lost once they leave the US. However if you would like an upgrade to Priority or Global International please feel free to inquire about the costs. We will only charge for the actual postage, but be aware that the USPS pricing for our shipping tubes starts at $24 US.

3) Please note: International customers are responsible for any and/or all Customs fees, taxes, and duties associated with shipping & purchasing to their respective countries, should they be assessed. Most country's Customs agencies open and/or assess fees to a random selection of packages. Any customs fees, taxes, tariffs, duties, etc. that may be incurred at the time of delivery would be at the discretion of your country's tax regulations. We have no way of calculating how much these fees would be, should they occur, and we are not responsible for those charges. For any additional information please refer to your local customs agency.
