Announcement   Welcome to Tatting for Spirit where you will find Unique, hand-made Needle Tatted lace that harnesses the beauty and healing energies of crystals, color and natural fibres.

Notice: I am currently not taking on any custom requests at the time for the upcoming Holiday season. I will be focusing on recovering from surgery I had on November 12th. If anyone would like to send me distance healing and positive vibes, please contact me prior to doing so, it will be greatly appreciated.

Join me in my adventures with rich luxurious fibres, original patterns, and handmade tatting needles!! Don't know how to needle tat? Why not pick up one of my step by step photographic instruction kits that will teach you lefties or righties how to needle tat with yarn. Then you can take what you have learned and apply it to the stand traditional metal needles for the more finer work. My versatile kit will provide you with everything you need for beginners and intermediate patterns. I have a complete kit with all materials provided, and a Fibre Artists Kit that omits some supplies as they would already have a crochet hook and tapestry needle.

Restoration and repair services now available for your heirloom pieces. please email at tfsfibrearts [!at] gmail.com. I also offer free repairs on the eyeholes of my tatting needles. However, after selling over 100 needles, I have only had to repair 1 needle. I test each eye hole for strength, durability and snags. I guarantee my craftsmanship so your expensive skein of yarn will not get ruined.

You can follow my tatting adventures on my Facebook page, Tatting for Spirit. Here you will find out what I’m creating, see latest photos, get info in sales and up coming events, and where you can find more photos on my pieces: www.facebook.com/tattingforspirit

Website is up and running to provide additional information for listings that include crystals and gemstones.

This site was made to merely provide additional information about the healing aspect of some of my pieces as Etsy has changed their policies on how I can word my listings. I wanted to make sure my customers and window shoppers has access to all information before purchasing. If you have any questions about a piece you have seen, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I love trading with other sellers. It is a wonderful way to exchange energy, and meet the nicest people! Feel free to contact me.

Honour you inner goddess with this beautiful handmade needle tatted lace necklace in an original design by Tatting For Spirit $40USD

About

Unique handmade lace that harnesses the beauty and healing energies of crystals, color and luxurious fibers.

Tatting for Spirit came about when I began meditating a few years ago. I found it rather frustrating to be constantly replacing crystals which had rolled off of me while I was lying still meditating. I thought to tat a small medallion in a chakra color and place some crystals in the design. This allowed the crystals to stay in place so I could concentrate on my breathing.

My work has explored chakras, and other meditation pieces, pieces for the mind, body and spirit, heart healing and goddess tributes. I am currently taking a pause from the crystal incorporation and exploring various fibers and threads and creating One of a Kind Patchwork Shawls.

I now have a website which provides additional information on the crystal properties of some pieces I have made, and can make again.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING GUARANTEES
If you have purchased or are going to [urchase some of my HANDMADE BAMBOO TATTING NEEDLES please note the following guarantee that I offer. They are hand made which is why the eye hole does not look perfect, it was not mass produced by a large industrial machine but fileD and drilled by hand. Each needle and eye hole has been tested for strength, durability and smoothness. I guarantee that there will be no snagging through the eye hole. If the eye holes should break, I offer a free repair service for up to 3 repairs on each needle. By that time the needle will be too short. All shipping costs are to be covered by the customer. This guarantee offer is not valid on bonus birch needles. You may reach me through Etsy's message system or send me an email too tfsfibrearts [!at] gmail.com

Should you have any other issues with your items when they arrive, contact me immediately. Most tatted items can be repaired. If the issue is on my craftsmanship I will happily repair or replace the item at my expense. If the issue is not on my craftsmanship but on your part, I will happily repair it at your expense. Shipping is to be covered by the customer. Photographs will be required to determine the extent of the damage. I've been tatting for nearly 20 years and can tell if it is from the quality of my work, or the thread/yarn used. I never work with weaken threads/yarns as they will break while tatting.

Additional policies and FAQs
Many heartfelt thanks to Gwen Fisher and Florence Turnour, of www.beadinfinitum.com, for permission to use and model my copyright statement after theirs.

International copyright laws afford Karen Negus and Tatting for Spirit exclusive rights to reproduce and sell, publish images of or professionally teach others to create the jewelry shown on this site, as well as that shown or described in my written patterns. However, I give my customers and visitors to my site limited rights to sell and display their tatting made from my designs. These limited rights are described below; if you wish to use my designs or images in any way not described below, you must obtain my written permission.

Angel Policy: Selling finished jewelry made from our patterns
Tatting For Spirit is proud to be an Angel Company (borrowing the term from the rubber stamping community). This means I support artists who sell their artwork. Please feel free to enjoy and make lots of my needle tatted designs for sale, so you can make a bunch of money (and buy more patterns).
I ask the following:
• Please don't mass produce needle tatted lace made with my designs. For example 50 of identical copies of an item would constitute mass production.

• Please don't hire or pay other people to make needle tatted lace with my designs to sell under your name or the name of your company.

• Whenever possible, please include a reference to Tatting For Spirit when the work is displayed for in public. In particular, when you display work on the internet, please include a phrase like, "This necklace includes designs from Tatting for Spirit," or "This necklace features a Goddess WithIn needle tatted motif from Tatting for Spirit." Of course a link to my site would be appreciated. Similarly, such a phrase could be displayed at a craft show or in a gallery, if it is not inappropriate.

• Remember that I retain copyright of the instructions and patterns themselves, as stated elsewhere on this page; my Angel Policy does not afford you the right to distribute my instructions or rewrite and distribute instructions of your own for the designs.
If you make something wonderful, please consider sending me a picture, I love seeing what others create, and the innovative ways people incorporate my designs into their work. I will, of course, not use images you send in any way without your permission.
Posting pictures of needle tatted lace you make using my designs on the web
If for any reason, you are going to publish, to publicly display (e.g. shop window or contest), or to post on a webpage your beadwork made with my patterns, I ask that you give me credit for the designs with a link to my home page:
http://tattingforspirit.wix.com/tattingforspirit?ref=nf#!

Teaching classes using the patterns I sell
You may not reproduce and distribute my patterns for sale or for publication.
You may not professionally teach any of my designs using your own written instructions without our express written consent.
If you would like to teach any of my or-sale patterns, then I ask that you or your students purchase the patterns from me. You may profit from your time and the sale of beads, but not from my pattern.
I have wholesale prices for those interested in purchasing four or more of the same pattern. Contact me for the wholesale price list.
Thank you for respecting me copyright
Thank you for respecting my copyright as a designer. I want to continue to provide you with my designs, to inspire you to create art. By purchasing my patterns and respecting my copyright, you encourage me to continue creating and writing patterns for my designs.
