About

Taylor Ceramics started as an exploration of form with no rules or limits.

I started Taylor Ceramics in 2008, 7 years after getting my BFA in ceramics from the University of Delaware. Unable to pick one method, I find myself throwing on the potter's wheel, slip casting and hand building with porcelain. I try to work within a group of forms that is consistent but that allow for elements of spontaneity. Whether it's a group of drawn lines or a row of beaded clay I love making each piece just a little different than the one before. I keep my color palette simple- I use a celadon glaze which is a transparent glaze with a hint of blue-green. This creates a cohesive look to all my wares and allows me to almost exclusively focus on the subtle sculptural details of each form.

I love throwing on the wheel and hand building with really thin porcelain slabs. I focus on simple clean lines and forms with subtle and delicate details. I am also a part time Art educator, a knitter, a swimmer and a runner.

Welcome to Taylor Ceramics!

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
Taylor Ceramics accepts payment through Paypal, Etsy gift cards and Direct Checkout using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. Payment is due within 2 days of purchase or the item will be relisted.
Shipping
Due to the fragile nature of ceramics, great care is taken to ensure that your purchase arrives safely in one piece. Most domestic orders are shipped USPS Priority Mail (with delivery confirmation and insurance) within the time frame indicated for your specific item. If you need expedited shipping or would like signature confirmation please send me a conversation with your address before you make your purchase so that I can add the additional shipping charge.

For international orders, I ship USPS International Priorty Mail. The international shipping charges for all single items start at $20 US dollars. These prices reflect the size and weight of the packages.
Refunds and Exchanges
Taylor Ceramics will accept returns within 48 hours of delivery for a full refund minus delivery fees. Refunds are issued as soon as items are received. They must be packed in the exact material and manner in which they were initially shipped. Refunds will not be given if the item is returned as damaged due to poor packaging. (I would also suggest getting insurance)

If an item is damaged please be sure to take a picture of the breakage and send it to ceramics [!at] carataylor.com and I will send a replacement.
Additional policies and FAQs
Due to the handmade process each piece is truly unique. There are slight variations and many times you are not receiving the photographed piece, it is simply a representation. Please email me if you have questions about an item or policy.
