5 out of 5 starsThat stone, that star, that shape, those cuts underneath the stone and that reticulated band! Holy moly!! It all works out so beautifully. Your pieces are forever surprising; I get to know them and they continue to reveal their hidden quirks and unique qualities over time. I never get tired of wearing them. Thank you so much. xox

5 out of 5 starsMy favorite jewelry artist continues to exceed themselves with masterful creations combined with thoughtful meanings/essays on each piece. They draw their information from many sources & never fail to amaze me. Extremely well-crafted work.

5 out of 5 starsI like the unusual and rustic organic look and the feel (weight) of this necklace which looks just like the pictures. Shipping was quick and it was well packaged. Taylor reached out to let me know it had shipped. Thanks!

5 out of 5 starsWhat an exciting ring!! Thank you very much Taylor for letting me swap to this one, that was so kind of you. Everything about this ring is amazing and the hidden fox takes it over the edge. I don't know, but sometimes there are no words to express how we feel and in this case, I'm short on words. Turning silver into poems is no easy task, but Taylor does it like it's just a thing floating in the air. My heart pitter-patter for Mr. Fox. LOVE IT!! Thank you!

5 out of 5 starsOne of my favourite rings ever. Unique setting with so many beautiful details all over and Taylor always picks such exciting stones! What I love most is that every piece is a surprise. Never the same thing twice. How does an artist do that? Well, I guess that's where the magic happens. Amazing, thank you so much!

5 out of 5 starsEven in it's simplicity, the artist has wrought a fine ring with a beautiful stone, the simplicity all the better to show off the brilliant stone.

5 out of 5 starsSo lovely!! I very much like kyanite (that blue colour is just awesome) and that little gold moon is like the cherry on a sundae! This is a very comfortable ring and gotta keep an eye out for those prongs when wearing certain items of clothing! But otherwise, what a great piece of jewelry. Thank you for the prompt shipping and the beauty of your work. Sorry, I'm addicted now (so I'll be back).

Hand sculpted Artisan Paper and Gemstone Jewelry by Taylor Twigg
Being an artist is a daily process of finding beauty within mundane insignificance. I believe that is why most artists are forced to work within the solitary confines of studios – it forces reflection at levels often stultifying, at times liberating.
Words are the great preoccupation of my life. I chose jewelry as my medium to carry these words. Stories bounce through my mind at all times – stories of magic, stories of honesty, stories of travel…they are my constant companions. Within stones, I see a canvas awaiting the right frame to bring its story to life. A million years or more trapped beneath the soil…all the lives and times that have passed above and around this stone now resting on my bench. I take my time with my pieces – I have no choice. Sometimes a stone screams its story right away and we race together to the finish line. Other times, the stone is quiet and rests inside my stone drawer for months, even years. I do not rush them. I do not release tons of pieces every year, but each one comes to fruition when it is ready. Each design becomes a part of me, and I carry them me as they carry me with them.
I am a self-taught jeweler, though I am more comfortable thinking of myself as a sculptor. ‘Jeweler’ strikes me as incredibly formal and perfect, which I am not. The greatest advice I was given is that if you’re going to screw up, do it on purpose. Being self-taught has allowed me the benefit of screwing up on a near daily basis. I view mistakes as a reason to find a better way, and many of my best designs have come from mistakes. Flaws have a great beauty to them – something raw and intrinsically human.
I rarely sketch and I rarely plan. I know many jewelers do, and I admire their skill with this. The nature of my work depends on spontaneity within the process. Thus, I leave everything open when I start a new piece. The finished design is as surprising to me as to someone seeing it for the first time. I don’t worry about the end at the beginning.
Details…I am obsessed with details. Repetitive, mind-numbing processes soothe me. My work tends to include painstaking, minute details because I cannot stop myself – tiny things fascinate me.
The most consistent theme within my work is time, as I am constantly short of it. Time forever wins, no matter how nimble my fingers. The ocean is another old friend within my work. Stand before the crashing waves to feel your own insignificance, but watch the tides change as well to see how little time truly matters. The ocean is where I defeat time by forgetting it. Magic…I must not forget magic. I often sculpt within this theme because it is too easy to forget how much unknown there is in this world when so much seems to be right at our fingertips with the rush of technology.
I work on an emotional level as opposed to technical, which can be exhausting. I match my process to the story of each piece so that I can live the story on every level as I create. Working within this method can sometimes leave me drained for short or long periods. But…every passion has a price.
My favorite piece is always my next piece. My goal with my work is forever growth. I have many dreams, but I keep them hidden – much like a wish on a shooting star. My favorite stone is every changing. My jewelry mediums at the moment are gemstones, silver, gold, and paper. I do not share my paper sculpting technique nor materials – this process took me a couple of years to develop and perfect. It is my livelihood, and a medium that I wish to expand in new directions. I am not done with paper sculpting, and will not share the process until I feel I have nothing left to offer it. I hope that you can understand this – the technique is a side of me that I cannot part with. I am forever grateful to those who have supported my growth and explorations throughout the years – thank you!

Frequently asked questions
Wholesale availability
I am not currently offering wholesale or consignment.
Please note that I do not offer wholesale prices or discounts for individual orders (meaning one item, two items, three items, or any quantity of items). I am a self employed, self representing artist. I price my work as affordably as I possibly can. Because of this, the complexity of my designs, and because of the fact that my work as an artisan jewelry designer is my entire livelihood, I am unable to do discounts for individual purchases.
Custom and personalized orders
I do custom orders. If you see a piece that you like but the colors don't quite suit you, just let me know and I will work with you to create a custom piece for you.
I require a 50% or full deposit for all custom pieces before I begin sculpting. For 14k or any gold pieces, I require full payment before I begin sculpting.
Please do NOT reshape my pieces when you receive them. Like any piece of fine jewelry, they have been specifically shaped and sealed into that shape. If you bend and reshape these pieces, they lose their original integrity. This is the same as any piece of jewelry. If you are unhappy with the shape of the piece, please contact me. I will not accept returns on intentionally damaged pieces.
Care instructions
All of my pieces are shipped with care cards that allow you to keep the structural integrity of your piece.
I recommend storing your pieces in the boxes they are shipped in, especially when travelling.
My pieces are specially sealed with multiple sealants to make them weather proof, and for you to wash your hands as many times as you would like - ie, normal wear and tear. I do not recommended that you wear my pieces while swimming, bathing, washing dishes, or working with chemicals. I recommend this equally for my paper pieces as well as for my gemstone and metalwork pieces. Chlorinated water, bleach, saltwater, dish soap, etc are not kind to jewelry, and these things can and will cause corrosive damage to your jewelry.
Care instructions
To polish a sterling piece from my line, please do not use silver cleaning chemicals or red rouge. Please only use a basic silver polishing cloth. If you need suggestions of cloths, please contact me!
You can also store your sterling pieces in a ziplock bag with a piece of regular white chalk to help prevent tarnish on your silver. It is how many jewelers store their work, and it saves you from having to polish your sterling jewelry. The chalk absorbs moisture and the ziplock bag keeps out oxygen. Oxygen plus moisture equals tarnish on your silver.
Repair Work
If you ever need repair work done on a piece, please contact me. It is easier for me to repair my own work than for another jeweler not familiar with my process to repair a piece. Also....I prefer to handle my own repairs and my own work because it's something I'm invested in and care about - I want the piece repaired properly according to my own standards, if repairs are needed.
Returns
If you are the recipient of a gift from my shop, only the purchaser of the item may ask for a refund. As the recipient, you can exchange the item for an item of equal value. You may not ask for a refund in cash value if you are a recipient of a gift. Only the purchaser can have the cash value refunded to their credit card.
I handle refunds for custom orders on a case by case basis. If the piece has been so customized that I cannot resell it, I will not issue a refund. Please ask before you commit to a custom order.
I will exchange sizes or lengths at no extra charge. Please contact me if you need this service.
Returns
If you receive your item and there is a problem with it (which I sincerely hope there would not be!!), then I will provide you with a refund. I must be notified within 7 days of your receiving the item in order for you to receive the refund. The item must also be returned to me in its original condition. I will refund the cost of the item. The money will be refunded to you within 24 hours of my receiving the item back to me in its original condition. It MUST be shipped with delivery confirmation. This is for the protection of the buyer as well as the seller.
Shipping Loss / Damage
If the post office should lose a package I send to you, I will resculpt the piece for you and resend the item. I do ship with confirmation delivery so that I am able to track the item both domestically and internationally. Most of the time I am able to track down the location of a package and get the package to you with the aid of the post office. I will need to guarantee and ensure loss of product through the post office before I replace the lost item.
Should the item arrived damaged to you, I insure all pieces that I ship. I will need to file a claim through USPS. I can either provide a refund once USPS clears the insurance claim, or I can provide a replacement. The damaged piece MUST be returned to me before replacement or refund.
Shipping Questions
If you would like overnight shipping or priority shipping for either domestic or international shipping, please contact me BEFORE you order so that I can give you the price of the shipping.
I will not forge customs documents, nor will I mark an item as a gift on a customs form. It is illegal to do so, and I could be fined or jailed for doing so. I will not take the risk. The customer is responsible for all customs charges / VAT tax fees within their country. Please research the customs fees within your country before ordering.
Please ensure that your address listed on Etsy is correct! I ship to the address listed on your Etsy account. I do not issue refunds for packages shipped to addresses that are incomplete or incorrect.
International Shipping Timelines
I am NOT responsible for expedited international shipping that is held up in customs either within the US or in your country. I have no control over the post office in the US or outside of it, and I have no control over customs agencies. I will ship quickly via the method you prefer, but I cannot be held responsible for delayed packages due to postal delays or customs delays. Please claim your package when it arrives to you. Should you wish a refund afterwards due to missing an important deadline, I will do so with communication and return of item. I issue a refund after the item is returned to me in its original condition. But please, claim your item when it arrives in your country.
