Fun with stones!

We started out with a rock tumbler making pretty polished stones. But some rocks were way too nice to bust up with a hammer! So we bought a used lapidary saw and learned how to use it. Soon we were producing stone slabs from rocks we picked up. Fun! But what to do with those slabs?

We bought an old very used cabbing machine and learned how to make cabochons. Lovely and fun, too! Next we purchase findings from the mail order lapidary shop and bestow jewelry on our friends and family. More fun! Gosh, I wish that these findings were better quality.

Next we learn how to work with silver. We are enjoying stones! Some days we hunt for them and enjoy Mother Nature's offerings. We visit Rock and Mineral shows and rock shops. Other days we cut, cab, and design. Then we make jewelry and various stone items. We enjoy enhancing a stone and then displaying it in some functional way. Silversmithing is quite rewarding, but some stones just beg to be wire-wrapped. So many stones! Here we offer our creations to you!
