After years working with sharp objects (stained glass and precious metals), I was thrilled to take a class in wet felting! I fell in love with the whole process of felting and the feel of the fibers in my hand. My daughter, a young teenage at the time, took the class with me, was more interested in sculpting animals. After purchasing materials, she quickly became very adept at needle felting and opened up her first ETSY shop! She was doing so well that I figured I should give it a try also and she helped me open my ETSY shop, where I sold both jewelry and needle felted items. I eventually had to open a separate ETSY shop just for my needle felting!

Most of my items in my shop were originally from custom requests. I love custom requests and working with my customers. They introduce me to birds and animals I have never sculpted before and it is so enjoyable to hear who they are giving these sculptures to. I often hear back from them with stories about how much the recipient loved the gift, or where the customer has placed the item they have bought. It doesn't get any better than that!

In 2013 I introduced my first set of needle felting kits. I wanted to share this wonderful craft with others with designs specifically in mind for the beginner. They have done so well, I have added a few intermediate kits and I am working on adding more this year.

My daughter and I also have an ETSY shop together called Minnow and Moss. We love enamel pins and plush and our shop is full of our latest designs! Check it out!
