Announcement   Thank you for visiting my egg shop! All eggs are handmade by me! All eggs are real and hollowed out.

The eggs are made to order. If you are giving anything as a present please tell me when you need it by at checkout. Please indicate if you wish the egg with a complimentary stand or as an ornament. I will send a stand if no selection is chosen.

Custom orders are always welcome.

Check Martha Stewart blog, 3 of my eggs are featured there http://thecraftsdept.marthastewart.com/2011/03/pysanky-artists.html

This technique is a traditional Lithuanian art that has been slightly modernized. Originally eggs were hard boiled in onion skins to get a brownish red shade. The eggs were etched with a blade and used at Easter time in games and decoration. Designs that are geometric or designs having to do with nature (trees, leaves, and animals) are the most traditional.

I enjoy updating designs and creating a modern feel to this tradition.

About

European Etched Eggs - Modern and Traditional Art

I am a professional by day and a crafter by night. I use egg etching as a relaxation tool to take away my daily worries.

Over 15 years ago I began etching eggs as an ethnic tradition with my family. This craft turned into a passion. I started adding color, playing with designs, and creating new masterpieces. As my interests grew, I began expanding my egg etching expetise. I sold at craft shows, spoke to museum groups, demonstrated, and in 2012 appeared on the Martha Stewart Show to show the Queen of Crafting herself how to scratch and egg.

Today I work as an attorney and etch eggs as a way to release tension.

I also knot, cross stitch, and make handmade cards.

I love all types of crafting and love talking with people on etsy.
