Have not stopped practicing on my new CBG from Tejas. I have been using it for over a month now and it is a wonderfully constructed instrument. First class parts and top shelf quality build. I paid a little more for this gas can one, but I definitely want another more traditional cigar box version. When I am in the market I will certainly be back and shop with Charlie. Charlie was great and responsive to my questions and was super fast on shipment. Get one built by Charlie and Tejas CBG Co... they are a lot of FUN to play.

This is my first cigar box guitar and I am pretty pleased overall. It is certainly a unique and eye-catching instrument. The oak neck, fretboard, and trim pieces look great with the 135th Anniversary Oliva cigar box. The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars is for an annoying buzz on the treble string when I swapped out the strings to tune it to DGBD. I hoped to open the box and snug down a loose wire or something simple like that, but the box appears to have been glued shut.

Well-built CBG guitar. It's one of the best I've owned. Sounds great. Action is very good. The quality of materials and workmanship is very good.

We had been looking for a cigar box guitar for our 22-year-old son for Christmas with no luck. Most were made in China, or in a cheesy kit. We were super excited to find there on ETSY and we bought one, hoping it would be good quality. The ship date was a week after Christmas but we opted to do it anyway since we had all but given up the idea. Well, let me tell you, The guitar came in time for Christmas and the quality far surpassed our expectation. He loves it and it has this bluesy vibe to it. Ugh! The best! 10 out of 10 star! Highly recommend!

I have played guitars professionally since I started at 16 - I am 72 now. Mostly I played Gibson and Fender products. Now retired from public gigs with arthritic fingers. I was looking for a 3 string cbg which is easier on my hands. I was absolutely thunder struck when I found this one with the Texas license plate. I was born and raised in Texas! Now the review - I fully agree with others who have reviewed Charlie's guitars. It is an instrument and not a toy. Well conceived and decidedly well made. The over all feel is similar to a Gibson Traditional in that this cbg is solid and substantial in my hands. Love it. I also appreciate Charlie's string choices for this one. They make perfect sense. All in all this is a wonderful instrument that exceeds all of my expectations. Thank you Charlie!!!
