I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such a hearty felt creative that is Catherine. Besides here beautiful jewellery her awareness surrounding customer service was so refreshing. It’s the kind of service that makes you want to buy more even if you don’t need to. I gave Catherine some challenges to negotiate as my life changed a little during the process. She responded with ease and heart. The world would be so much better if they were like Catherine. Wish I was a woman sometimes so I could buy more!!!!

About

One of a Kind Handcrafted Jewelry and Fashion Accessories

After spending most of my working life in the corporate sector I reached a time when I was able to make a big change. As creative arts were always my first love I had dreamed of the day I would be able to work with the many lovely raw materials available. I have always had a project on the go, whether it was knitting, crochet, sewing or jewellery making among others. Beads and ethnic design have always held a special fascination for me.

I started out as a wholesaler of home wares, textiles and jewellery supplying a number of shops and over time I started to design my own gift ware products. It was hard work but I enjoyed and loved it.

I had always been jewellery obsessed and as a child loved playing with the beautiful beads that my Grandmother and Great Aunts had, it kept me entertained for hours. The time came when I wanted to design my own jewelry and accessories and so this journey began. I wanted to create interesting and unique items that were One of a Kind.

To create individual pieces is extremely important to me as I would become bored very quickly making the same thing over and over and the pleasure of the creative process would be lost. Also mass producing is not what I want to do - my purpose is to make One of a Kind pieces.

I decided to set up an on-line business rather than wholesale to shops - it has been a very interesting journey. Beyond the designing and making of my pieces there is the photography, gaining an understanding of the internet and on-line business, record keeping and sourcing the raw elements. Mostly very enjoyable, often very confusing however I am slowly making progress with it all.

All items, apart from vintage pieces, are designed and constructed by me. I manage my own Etsy shop and all aspects of my business except for silversmithing work.

Nadiyah is my silversmith and produces my pendant pieces. She also sets some of my gemstones according to my design concepts. We work closely together to achieve the finished product that I am wanting to create.

Welcome to Teluma and thank you for your interest.

All items are handmade and are one-off designs with no two pieces exactly the same. I work with a variety of materials which are sourced locally and overseas often using vintage components to create something unusual and unique. Ranging from simple designs to those with more detail, I endeavor to create variety and something to suit every taste and budget.

Each item has it's own detailed description and I am very happy to provide any further information in this regard.

If you would like to 'design' something of your own I would love to help you create it. I am also happy to make changes, such as the length of a necklace, to suit your taste and to offer exactly what you are looking for. Matching earrings or a bracelet may also be ordered and I will do my best, depending on materials I have available and in consultation with you, to create these as you would like.

Shipping
Items will be sent either by standard Australia Post, if small, or in a satchell/bag with tracking for larger, more expensive purchases. Each order will be sent as soon as payment has been received and cleared.

Unfortunately postage in Australia is expensive and I have quoted the most economical postage rates, depending on the item. If you would prefer a higher level of safety, such as registered post or insurance, I will get a quote on the cost for you. Rates quoted are for the purchase of a single item, any extra items purchased within the same order will be sent at no extra cost.

For overseas (outside Australia) I am more than happy to use an alternative method, such as sea freight, which is slightly cheaper but will take longer to arrive.

Any local taxes or import duties are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom orders or requests for specific materials are welcome. I am very happy to discuss any personal requirements you may have.
