Tried twice to contact the seller about a tracking number, she waited 10 days to ask if it had arrived yet. I got a card from the post office saying it was waiting there with $.97 postage due. It was in a regular non padded envelope. Seller offered to send me a dollar thru the mail. It took 18 days to arrive. The threader works great! Came with a nice little roving sample. I wont be using this shop again.

Loving Life on the Farm

I started working with fiber as a young child when a visiting neighbor offered to teach me to crochet. I was seven and I've been crocheting and knitting ever since. When I retired from a high tech job, I turned to fiber full time. I bought a fiber flock and have been happily raising and shearing sheep and processing their fleeces into beautiful yarns and other fiber products. My husband says he has never seen me happier!

Our natural colored Finn, Lincoln, Leicester Longwool and Shetland sheep graze on lush pastures. This results in clean, healthy fleeces for our use creating our yarn

Selected for color and softness our fleeces are individually chosen and spun into yarn. We support the local small farming community with our purchases of alpaca and merino fleeces.

At Ten Mile Fiber Mill we blend fleeces into homespun yarns of unusual quality. We create luxurious yarns in rich natural colors.

We also beautifully color a selection of our yarns by hand dying, using sustainable techniques and materials.

We hope you love our yarns as much as we do!

Welcome to my collection of wonderful yarn. I work hard to make sure that the yarn you receive from my shop is worthy of your time and money. My customers create beautiful garments and other objects from my soft and luxurious yarns.

Some of my yarn comes from the fleeces of my own flock of sheep. Other yarn comes from nearby flocks of sheep and alpaca. While I hand dye some of these fleeces, much of this yarn is presented in its natural color. These minimally processed artisan yarns are a delight to work with and will provide you hours of knitting, crocheting and weaving pleasure.

Some of my hand dyed yarn is made from commercially prepared yarn as making Superwash yarn is not a home based process. I purchase these yarns from a regional provider who buys fleeces from many of my neighbors.

Regardless of source, each skein of hand dyed yarn is full of love and care, from my heart to yours. I'm happy to be part of a local supply chain and to support our local fiber farmers.

The yarn listed in my store is available for immediate shipment. Special orders or larger quantities than I have listed for dye-to-order yarn is 2-3 weeks after you place your order.

Because some of my yarn availability depends on my sheep, I will let you know if certain yarns won't be available until the next shearing cycle.
