We’ve had a customer waiting patiently for us to get a new batch of clear frosted vinyl for his Targaryen Sigil order. To make up for the delay, we’re also sending him the first cut of our latest design. Enjoy, Justin!
We’ve got a long weekend ahead of us. Whether your plans involve work or play, you might need to put some butt into it to make it happen. Do you have what it takes when that time comes?

About

Our business started on the way back from an adventure.

While driving back from a long Memorial Day weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks, we were unusually aware of the wide variety of stickers and decals on the back of vehicles. Jeremy (a graphic designer and all-around talented fellow) had a bright idea and said, "I wonder what it would take for us to make vinyl decals?"

We researched all evening after getting home and decided to go for it. We bought everything we needed to get started from Amazon (yay, Amazon Prime!) and were ready to get to work. But, first, we needed our shop name.

The first designs Jeremy created were related to camping and Scouting. A little research showed there weren’t a lot of decal options for those involved in Boy Scouting as an adult leader. However, we didn’t want the entire shop to be just focused on one thing. We wanted to diversify, to appeal to a wide variety of interests and passions. While playing baseball with our youngest son, Robin came up with the name Tent and Tiara (sometimes inspiration strikes in the strangest places).

Our store tagline is “Express yourself, no matter your adventure.” We offer an increasingly wide variety of decals to help you express yourself on anything, including water bottles, vehicles, computers, or anything you want to spiff up with a little personality.

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

Virtually any item we sell can be customized. We charge an additional $1.00 per item for customization.

To customize an eligible item, please add your custom information to the "notes to seller" field during checkout.

How long does production take?

We cut our decals in small batches, usually on Fridays.

If you are ordering a non-customized decal, we try to have enough in stock to turn your order around within one business day.

For customized orders, it may take up to three business days for us to process your order.

What happens if the decal is not sticking to the transfer tape?

We burnish each decal to the transfer paper and test that the edges successfully lift with the transfer tape. However, occasionally the bond between the transfer tape and decal weakens in shipping.

We suggest going over the decal with a credit card, vinyl squeegee or fingernail before separating the decal to ensure the decal is well-bonded.

If, as you are separating the transfer tape, you notice the decal is not coming along, gently lay the transfer tape back down onto the stubborn part and reburnish. With a little patience and care, it's easy to remedy this situation.

What happens if the backing paper is sticking to the decal?

We have seen that some decals with intricate details will occasionally pull up a little of the backing paper when peeling the transfer tape.

If this happens to you, don’t worry! Your decal can easily be saved.

First, try to carefully peel the transfer tape from the opposite angle. Often, this will cleanly lift the decal from that angle and the lifted paper will stay with its backing paper buddies.

If the backing paper has completely come off with the decal, go ahead and carefully finish removing the backing paper from the transfer tape.

Lay it adhesive side up and CAREFULLY wedge a pin or other thin, sharp object between the decal and the backing paper. You should be able to get the backing paper to separate.

How long do your decals last?

We mostly use Oracal 651 vinyl, which is rated for 6 years outdoors (4 years if you choose a metallic color). On rare occasions, we will use Silhouette or Cricut vinyl, which should be comparably rated.

Variables, such as whether you cleaned your surface before application or intricacy of the decal design, may affect this time.

Do you have any temperature suggestions for when to apply my decal?

The temperature of the surface should be at least 46°F.

We have also heard that decals may not apply well in extreme heat. If you are ordering a decal in the summer, your best time for application on a car window will be in the evening after the surface has had time to cool.
