5 out of 5 starsAdorable little vase. It was a bit smaller than I expected but I think it’s only because. I didn’t look at the dimensions. Can’t wait to put a flower or two in it.

5 out of 5 starsExactly as advertised and love the unique functional design. Mickey also kept checking the tracking details and followed up with me when she noticed it was taking longer than expected to deliver. Looking forward to using my salt piggy!

5 out of 5 starsHave been waiting to buy a black one and finally got it! Love this - perfect size, smooth surface so easy to keep clean. Only shop that sells one with a pour spout. Spoon was an added bonus. Looks great in the kitchen.

Throwing a new piece on the wheel

A thrown and hand-carved piece, just before its first firing
Pottery is my vocation and my obsession.
In my former life, I've had several careers that had a central focus: design. First was graphics, then interiors and architecture, and I last had a fourteen-year career in landscape architecture.
I first learned and fell in love with the art of pottery early in my teens and, after a long hiatus, returned to this work in 2007 with a renewed passion and dedication. I then established TerraForma Studio in early 2010 to focus my efforts on creating ceramic vessels with a strong sculptural presence. My life has been steeped in arts and crafts of all varieties, from stained glass and printmaking to the fiber arts, photography and graphic design. Every discipline in my experience informs my process in the design and creation of my pottery.
My inspiration comes from a deep appreciation of ceramic artists and studios of the mid-century, especially Scandinavian, Italian and West German studios, and California artists, and abstractions based on forms from nature—from the forest in winter to the texture of an acorn cap—find their way into all of my pieces.
You can see and learn more about my work, and view archival images, at the links below.

Returns and exchanges
Buyers requesting a refund must contact me within 14 days of receipt of item. I will either see what can done to make you happy with your purchase, or I will start the refund process. I will refund full purchase price minus shipping charge. Buyer is responsible for return shipping cost unless item is defective or not what was ordered.
If any item is damaged during shipping, you should first contact the shipper (USPS, FedEx, UPS) to file a claim, and then please let me know what has happened—see notes about insurance in my shipping policy. I pack every item with extreme care to arrive in perfect condition; I can't be held responsible for items damaged during shipping, but I will help you to resolve this problem with the shipper.
I do not offer refunds for items that are lost or damaged during shipping, or by the buyer.
Custom orders cannot be returned.
Payment
I must charge sales tax for orders going to California residents only.
Shipping
Because ceramics are fragile, I always include insurance in the shipping charge and package very securely with lots of cushioning, often a box within a box—this is why the shipping cost may be a bit higher than expected, especially for deliveries outside the U.S.
I ship by the least expensive option that is still safe and insured—this will be USPS Priority Mail, FedEx, or UPS depending upon item size, weight, and fragility. Domestic U.S. delivery will usually take 2-6 days depending on shipper; international deliveries may take as long as 2-4 weeks depending on location, and can be unpredictable. Please remember that shipping near any holiday period can be very slow; priority upgrades should be requested at time of order if speedier delivery is needed. Any upgrades such as signature confirmation are also available upon request.
YES! I will ship internationally, but setting up shipping costs for every listing is very time consuming. If you are outside the U.S. and are interested in an item, please contact me and I will respond quickly with a shipping cost to your address.
California Residents: For sanity's sake, I have to set my tax rate calculator at 9%; if your delivery address is in a district with a lower tax rate, I will refund any overcharge of taxes to you. My neighbors in the Los Angeles area are welcome to pick up their purchases in person to save shipping cost—please let me know at checkout if you want this, and the full shipping cost will be refunded.
I try to recycle and reuse packaging materials as much as possible, so the package outside may not always be pretty but what's inside will always arrive beautiful and intact (barring unforeseen catastrophes!).
If your purchase is a gift going directly to the recipient, please let me know—I will include a tag with your gift message if you wish. Just provide me with gift info in the note to seller at checkout. Of course, I will not include the invoice with the gift unless you specifically request it.
