5 out of 5 starsWhat a lovely mug. I absolutely love all of the detail and care that was put into making this mug. It's so wonderful to look at and to hold. It a great size for my morning coffee or tea. I enjoy tracing my fingers along the stars and drifting off in thought.

Art in daily life
Clay crossed my path in 2013 and I fell in love.
It changed my life and made me see the beauty around me. I used to live in survival mode, at the point of a gun (figuratively), until I couldn't do it anymore. Art brings joy to my life. It made me slow down.
Every time I worked with clay, I got centered. Pottery gave me the mental space where I could hear my heart and my soul. When my hands were shaping clay, I was in fact shaping my new life as a ceramic artist.
Pottery is the perfect outlet for my overflowing creativity, and it has functionality, which to me, is really important.
I like the idea of using art in daily life, of the life of a pot. The pot is a servant, it brings food and beverages, it showcases flowers or fruits. The pot is a vessel – and I feel this way about my body too. Transient in time, bringing beauty, but bound to break and die. The error would be to not use the vessel. Using the vessel is the only way to make sense of its temporary existence.
Chosen objects don’t clutter your world. Unloved objects do. Chosen objects can bring joy and a sense of connection to the earth. The trick is to remain unattached to objects. To respect the transient aspect of all things material.
I believe deeply in art and creativity as tools to maintain a healthy brain. It changes brainwaves from beta (stress, vigilance) to alpha (calmness and access to your inner world and subconscious). We are all creative. Some think that they are unworthy of their creativity, and some decide to completely shut this aspect of their humanity because they judge their art negatively. Living creatively is freeing and highly spiritual.
People who buy my pottery are often makers themselves, dreamers, creative, nostalgic, empowered, poetry and nature lovers, and a little special (!)... They appreciate handmade functional objects. They see value in “perfect imperfection”, in the connection between the maker and the user, and they enjoy the life of the object. They feel that buying handmade creates a sense of community and humanity that would be subtly lost otherwise.
I now fully embrace the handmade process and its traces. It means that mugs are sometimes not perfectly round, that my pots have a rustic look, a handmade feel, and that I am not a robot.
Thanks for visiting!

Returns and exchange details
Please do not send item(s) back without messaging me first.
We can discuss refund, or replacement.
Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable and are the buyer's responsibilities.
Return shipping costs are also the buyer's responsibilities. The item will be refunded in full once it arrives at my studio in good condition.
If your item arrives in pieces (broke during shipping), contact me within 3 days of reception. For a refund or a store credit, I need pictures of the item as it arrived IN THE ORIGINAL SHIPPING BOX.
Most of the orders are insured for their market value. Please let me know as soon as possible if your order was stolen, lost, or arrived in poor condition. I will then start a claim for the insured amount with the postal services.
Because I often make original and one of a kind pottery, it is not always possible to have a new item exactly identical to your previous purchase.

* International customers are responsible for any extra custom fees and taxes.
Shipping
Shipping fees are estimated, and can be overestimated depending where you live and on how many items you purchase. If you purchase more than 2 smaller items, chances are that shipping fees are overestimated. *** I WILL REFUND YOU SHIPPING OVERAGES at the time of shipping** or convo me to have a more accurate estimate prior to purchase.
LOCAL PICK UP: If you are local to Edmonton and want to pick up in St Albert, please use coupon code LOCALPEEP at checkout and comment it is for pick up. I will get back to you!
Shipping to YEG, YYC or Vancouver, BC is around 14-18 CAD, whatever the size of the box (almost!!) :)
*** I WILL REFUND YOU SHIPPING OVERAGES at the time of shipping**
*** SHIPPING to USA: Shipping to the USA is 1-2 business days through DHL once your order is shipped. You will get tracking. Door to door service.
*** Shipping to CANADA is 2-7 days with Canada Post. Parcels will have a tracking number and are insured.
***SHIPPING to other COUNTRIES: I now only ship through DHL with tracking and insurance. Transit time is 2-4 business days. Unfortunately, pottery is heavy and this is why is it very expensive to ship long distances. I pack very carefully, and so far, I had no breakage due to transit.
I will pack your purchase very well, usually I double box your order so it reaches you all safe and sound. So far, so good... knock wood!

**** I am not responsible for extra fees from customs. These charges are the buyer's responsability and are not included in the total from my shop.**** PLEASE BUY MINDFULLY***
Additional policies and FAQs
1) SIGN UP for my INSIDER VIP CLUB to get email alerts and offers. To sign up, head over to www.kentianaud.com
2) I do not have pre-orders or custom orders for the time being. NO WHOLESALE and no consignment. I quite enjoy having a direct link with people :) and I don't make a lot of pottery anyways.
3) why is some of your work more expensive? All of my sculptural pieces and highly decorated pieces are highly invested in time, materials, and number of firings. I multi-fired 3-5 times some pieces, and everything is done by my 2 hands with love and intention. The cost of gold will definitely play a big role in the overall cost of a piece. Some gemstones are also rare and precious, so the work will be priced accordingly. I consider my pottery functional art, as every piece is unique and has a story. Thank you for allowing yourself luxury! It is jewelry for coffee/tea/or whatever liquid!
4) Shipping costs: The shipping fees you pay ARE what I pay to send you your order safe and sound. Shipping from Canada is more expensive than shipping USA to USA.
5) If you would love to have some of my work but it says "does not ship to country X"; please convo me in advance so I can give you a quote and prepare ahead for you to snag something when the new work is released.

How can I get some pottery that I saw on Instagram?
Depending on what you saw on Instagram or Pinterest or Facebook, the most recent work will be released either:
1- "silently" without social media alerts (sign up for the INSIDER VIP CLUB emails at www.kentianaud.com to know about these offers)
2- during a "shop update" or "shop restock" when all listings will be available at once at a certain date and time. From past shop updates, most pieces will find an owner within minutes. For previews, check my Instagram @terrefermepottery. For fastest transaction, have your payment details already in the system, and go for your most wanted item first, then finish the transaction. If you order more than one item, I will combine your orders and ship them together; I refund shipping overages.
