Announcement   Okay so, I'm one of those people whom like to make things a little harder than they are. I love making bags, purses, hats, and so on, from previously owned clothes. I deconstruct to construct new, better and useful things. It is definitely time-consuming, but so worth it. Every piece I make is one of a kind.

I also make sure that every item I make is machine washable, therefore I wash every piece of recycled clothes prior to designing. If the fabric doesn't make it through the wash, I will not use. Please keep in mind that my hand knitted pieces are carefully constructed of new yarns. Some knitted items might not be machine washable if they are wool.

Oh and did I mention, all the scraps left I sew together and make care blankets for City of Hope's cancer patients. Nothing is wasted. You help me, I help you, we all help others.

Enjoy your one of a kind piece!

About

Transforming the unused, unwanted, and massed produced piece into something useful and unique

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. As a child, I could never sit still. Later in life, I found out the reason why; ADHD and Dyslexia. No meds for me, thank you. My natural medicine is to stay creative and super busy.

I found myself deconstructing jeans to challenge my creativity. I wanted to see what I could make out of them, once every piece was pulled apart. Took me a long time, but came out with a cool tote bag. From jeans, I moved on to suits, jackets, shirts, and so on. Now I can't stop, I don't use any patterns. I design as I go.

I don't like to throw out the scraps left, so I make patchwork blankets. They remind me of the ones we made in the orphanage. Yes, I was in an orphanage for a short period. My parents wanted to teach me a lesson. Go figure.
I did take the best part of my experience, the pretty patchwork blanket, and now offer it to my customers.

I am self-taught and self-motivated. I eat, sleep, and breathe creativity.

I can do that! I deconstruct mass produced garments, to construct one of a kind useful accessories; handbags, heirloom blankets, sweaters, scarves, and so much more.

Hello and welcome to THarmon Designs-
I make all of my purses and accessories one at a time with the highest care and attention to detail. I personally choose the best recycled pieces to work from. THarmon bags are constructed professionally. All seams are machine stitched and reinforced with interfacing for durability. My accessories are all handcrafted by me. The cowls are hand knitted, and the hats are all made one at a time by me. I make my own pattern too. Be assured that whatever item you buy from me, it will be a one of a kind piece.
I am addicted to recycling, deconstructing, and constructing and I am always on the hunt for loved clothing looking for new use.......I promise that you will be happy with your THarmon item.
THarmon bags are machine washable and are constructed in a smoke free and pet free studio.
