Announcement   I came up with my store name because I had to incorporate that phrase my sisters and I always use when we shop together: "That is so cute!" But in my store C.U.T.E. is an acronym that stands for:

.....C = Creative..........U = Unique..........T = Trendy..........E = Enticing.....

About

Just try to NOT say "That is so cute" when shopping!

I grew up in a large family. As my dad use to say, we had two and a half dozen in our family...well, that is 2 parents and a half dozen kids! I know...that's corny right?

Well, we didn't have much money (as you can imagine with 2 & 1/2 dozen people to support!) so we learned to make things...both sewing and knitting. I hated the sewing...I was terrible at it. Oh, I could manage to make something wearable but I never enjoyed the process. Looking back, I think it was because I struggled so to cut out the material. You see, I'm the only left-handed girl in the famly and we did not have a pair of left scissors. Somehow the only other lefty in the family never had to learn how to sew...my only brother.

Knitting on the other hand...that I could do and do well! From the logic of the patterns to the fact that really with only 2 "sticks" and a "string" (yup, knitting needles and yarn!) you can make so many unique and pretty things. One year I made a sweater with lots of details - cables, bobbles and all kinds of special touches. I entered that sweater in a couple of the local fairs and won 1st Place and Special Mention ribbons.

These days I enjoy knitting even more. There are so many more kinds of yarns available at the click of my mouse that I am amazed! They inspire me.

Lately I'm trying my hand as designing patterns. Look for them soon in the shop. One of the first will be a knit pattern for some Bacon & Egg dishclothes. Yes, you'll be able to clean up with bacon and eggs.

I never know what I'm going to try next. I love playing around with new mediums like beads, polymer clay and hopefully soon cement! Yes, you read that right..cement. I want to give Hyupertufa a try - it's a mixture of Portland cement and other ingredients.

See, you don't know what you'll find here. So please stop by often!

Thanks for visiting,

Harriet

I love trying new things: scrapbooking, knitting, felting, painting (acrylics, glass, fabric, watercolor), jewlery-making and clay so far! I also love dreaming about new ways I can use and combine these mediums. As a result, you never know what you'll find in my store.

If you see something in my shop you'd like in another color, please contact me - I can probably make it for you.

If you see something in my sold items you like, please contact me as I can probably make something similar.
