Hey, I’m Zach. My wife, Malia, and I opened this shop along with our 2 kids.

In the beginning, I was making things for my wife. She’d see something she liked and say, “I love it, but…” So we’d make the new item with the improvements or changes that my wife wanted. Family and friends started seeing these items and saying, “Oooh, I like that, but…”

The name may not make sense, but it has become a catchphrase with our friends and family. We’ll build a new item, something one of us really wanted and do it in a new/exciting way. Whenever someone comments on it, our response is, “Well, that’s what we do.”

We specialize in creating products that seem common in the beginning and putting our own twist on them to make them unique and individualized.

From our small start, building things for our home, we started getting more requests from friends, family, coworkers, and even small businesses in our community. We’ve created everything from thank you gifts for clients, to stage production pieces, to souvenirs.

Malia and I currently run the shop out of our garage (because who needs enclosed parking in Utah during the winter anyway?!) with the “help” of our two small kids. Our goal is to continue to expand and someday open our own store where we can continue to create and hopefully teach others as well. We want our kids to grow up in an environment where they see that having a goal, making a plan, and working hard can help turn dreams into realities. We want to help them grow up knowing that they can succeed at the things they decide to pursue as well.

Please check back at our shop often. We’ll have some items that we’ll continue to make so they’ll always be available, and we’ll have some creations that will be a one time/one-of-a-kind build.
