This book is perfect!! Both of my sisters have adopted children of very varying backgrounds so this is an amazing way to show the kids just how different other families can be, not just theirs. I recommend it to everyone with littles!

This book is probably one of the most inclusive family books I have found. I spend most of my days rewriting books to make them work for our family. This book really dives into the differences in families and even mentions foster care and adoption. The sweet rhymes are engaging and the pictures and simplicity of the writing have already led to great conversations with our toddler. Only one little part I had to read as “parent” in order to remove the mom and dad classifications. Although I totally get where the writer was going with role reversals, anything read that way is currently confusing to our little guy. SUCH A GREAT BOOK! If you are on the fence, just get it…you will not be disappointed!!
