The Snark Shop is every day snarky goods, championing the spread of sarcasm, a love of snail mail, and embracing life's lighthearted moments. Collection currently includes a greeting card line, and launching at the end of Spring 2016, some snarky home goods and life ephemera.

The Snark Shop is here so you can dispense with sending lame checkout-line birthday cards to your besties, or scribbling last-minute notes on that sheet of lined notebook paper you found under the sofa last week. Seriously? It had crumbs on it. So you can stop being funny-card-shamed (admit it, it's a thing) by your best frenemy. So you can avoid having the same engagement card at the party as every other guest (the purple one with the cartoon couple holding hands? Yeah I got that one, too.).

The Chieftess behind The Snark

I started The Snark Shop a few years ago (it was originally called "Sara Does") (that's my name: Sara) (duh?) after having a couple ideas for some greeting cards. I've always loved snail mail and I wanted to find a way to spread this love + get people to send more mail. But my ideas were pretty generic and I didn't love my designs. The more ideas I gathered for cards, the more I found myself designing sarcastic, snarky statements, and trying to infuse dry wit into as many cards as possible. This is how I am in person, so it made sense - and I figured I should stick with what I know.

Because funny isn't Just for comedians, amiright?

I draw basically like a toddler, so hand-lettering or illustrations were out of the picture. Once I discovered the font I now use, I knew it was perfect for my blunt, sarcastic statements. Eventually, I narrowed down my favorite colors (a combination of which are found in almost every card), and moved forward. Now, The Snark Shop offers more than 50 snarky greeting cards, with new designs posted every month.

So my shop is snarky, but my love for my customers is totally serious. I'm glad to have you here, whether you're browsing or buying, and I'd love to help you renew your love for snail mail with a couple snort-worthy sentiments.
