Announcement   making quality goods - using repurposed materials. Handmade handbags, and accessories in timeless easy to wear styles. Also, handcrafted, eclectic and innovative decor for your home.

Every single item you see in my shop is hand made from start to finish by me... Marjorie, in North Carolina.
All of my handbags, and linens are sewn on my 1940's Modern industrial sewing machine. They don't make 'em like this any more. You can be reassured the item you purchase will be durable, sturdy and professionally sewn. Just look at my positive feedback!

Most of the materials I use are RECYCLED, repurposed, salvaged, upcycled, vintage, or one of a kind. This includes fabric. Most of my items are "ONE OF A KIND". Usually, I will make and sell only one of each of my items listed. In that case, you will receive the exact one photographed. In some instances I may make a bag or other item multiple times, but it may have a similar but somewhat different button, liner, or zipper for example. The item you purchase will be as close to the one pictured as promised. Most of my items are made to order. I kind of like the fact that each one of my is just a little different... and no two are just alike! I am getting new fabric, and vintage materials almost every day, so please check back!
Custom work is always welcome...just send me a message, if there is something you are interested in.

Thank you so much for looking!

About

Jill of all trades, Master of none

My grandfather and mother have the gift of making something out of nothing. I suppose I inherited that gift, and for this I am truly thankful. I consider myself to be a Jill of all trades, master of none. My passion is in the creation. I love working with my hands, & aging them more everyday. Making something beautiful for someone else, is why I do this.
I am Marjorie. I live in Eastern, NC. My husband, 2 daughters and I, live on the family farm, surrounded by fields of crops, cows, horses and family. I am a homemaker, and truly believe in using what you have, and what you have been given to live and grow and create. I make handmade handbags - mostly from recycled leather... and other salvaged creations for your home. I opened my shop on Etsy in 2009. I love Etsy, and I believe in it's purpose.
I have a true admiration for all things old...especially people & vintage fabrics, salvaged furniture & materials, rusty tools & hardware, unique finds, anything mossy, and weathered. Even my wedding ring came from a pawn shop. After all, one mans trash is another mans treasure --and I would take any of these over new diamonds any day. "Beautiful things are made by those who strive to make something useful." Oscar Wilde

Welcome to marjoriemade. I am glad you made it here! All of my items are handmade, which means made by me, personally. Each of my items are made one at a time. Being human, and imperfect as we all are, please consider that the item you purchase is handmade, not mass produced in a factory by a machine. Therefore, the item you purchase will be beautiful, handcrafted, as pictured, and imperfectly perfect. Thank you!!
