My shop began when I discovered butterfly specimens while working on a completely separate project. I was amazed by the enormous variety of butterflies found all over the world, and by their vibrant colors and beauty.

In my quest to discover a beautiful way to display these amazing butterfly specimens, the butterfly terrarium was born. My butterfly terrariums are sold as kits. This allows the buyer to use their own creativity when assembling their very own butterfly terrarium. Each kit comes with brightly colored dried flowers, dried moss, a gorgeous butterfly, and complete picture instructions on how to assemble your butterfly terrarium. I promise that the kits are very easy to put together! We love it when customers customize their terrariums with dry items they love such as rocks, shells, or feathers.

In addition to butterfly specimens, we also have many super cool bugs! I love the thought of kids holding a ginormous beetle and thinking, "this is awesome!" instead of "this is gross!"

By the way, all of the butterflies come from butterfly farms that raise butterflies; they are not wild caught butterflies. The butterfly farms protect the natural habitat of the butterflies, and also release some back into the wild, which has helped many species continue to flourish.
