5 out of 5 starsBetter than expected! It's a bit smaller than I thought it was, so be sure to check dimensions before buying ( I didn't) Perfect pendant for a pirate choker I am making. Took awhile to arrive from the UK, but totally worth the wait. Beautiful!

5 out of 5 starsAbsolutely beautiful work that was a present for a special friend that they loved - truly a violet galaxy captured in a bubble, with even more incredible geo work on the back of the pendant - that I was just as impressed by.

My story so far...
In my everyday life I look for beauty and pleasing forms everywhere. I walk for hours each day partly out of necessity but also for pleasure and am always sure to notice my surroundings. To see the new things the world has to show me in a rural town which changes daily with the seasons. I am charmed by nature in all its forms and colours, delight in the patterns made on metal by rust and peeling paint, and adore the artistry in the creations of others, past and present. When I’m not absorbed in my own art and craft, or busy rearing my two energetic and excitable children, I love to make jewellery for The Arkana Workshop that people will find beautiful, enjoy wearing and almost definitely attract a compliment or three!
I craft my unique statement pieces using any materials I can get my hands on and although my main medium is polymer clay which I have spent years learning the possibilities and properties of, a proportion of my jewellery sale profits go into the procurement of new supplies – metal colouring products, shaping tools, art resin, inks, beads and shimmering rhinestones. I believe in lifelong learning and constantly develop my knowledge and skills so that I can fill my shop with an ever-growing and always evolving assortment of pieces for individuals who love to wear something special and own something that brings them sheer joy.
My deep connection with nature, history and science coupled with my love of Gothic , Victorian and Steampunk art inspire my designs and I carry a sketchbook with me wherever I go to jot down the ideas that float up from the depths of my subconscious mind when I least expect it! I am a complete magpie when it comes to hunting out new or old shiny things to add to my toolbox or treasure collection, to use when a new design demands it and love nothing more than a rummage through an old button tin or a box in the corner of a reclamation shop!
With my business I am meticulous when it comes to quality, comfort, durability of my pieces and customer service. I want everybody to have a memorable, five star experience shopping with me and for my customers all around the world to love what they have bought for years to come! I am honoured when shoppers return to add to their own collections or to gift my pieces to their nearest and dearest.
I feel incredibly lucky that crafting and selling my jewellery is what I do for a living. I tried many different careers in my younger days but the first time I truly felt like myself was when I opened my Etsy shop. It was the quirky market stall filled with handmade wares that I had always wanted but without the cold early mornings of the great British outdoors at dawn. I hope that you feel able to approach me via Etsy messages with any questions or comments as if I were stood on the other side of a wooden trestle table and even more that you enjoy browsing my virtual display counter!
Thank you for your time! It is always gratefully received.
