4 out of 5 starsThe pin is adorable. It was gift for a student! My only complaint was the shipping time and no tracking number.

5 out of 5 starsSo Love it along with the bigger one that says ‘Just uke it’. It is about 1”x1” only. It would be more than perfect if it were at least 3”x3” in size.

Here is my story:
My name is Sarah Beck and I make my living mostly as a potter ( www.wildfirepottery.ca ), I have a pottery shop and sell my raku sculptures to tourists that visit our island. Sometimes I need a break from making pottery because I have been doing it for about 39 years. (My mum is a potter and I attended classes with her in the womb!)
I have always liked pinback buttons, so a few years ago I bought a button maker on ebay. Well, that was great, but then I wanted more sizes. I bought one that could make mirrors, I bought one that makes little tiny buttons and then thought, hey, I could make jewellery with these small buttons and off I went on that tangent. I was drawing all sorts of designs and then shrinking them down to fit the buttons. I decided to make cards out of some of that artwork and then that led to other card designs. I started getting inspired by different materials and making some buttons from handmade papers.
With me, the creative process happens by letting one thing lead to another. One day I was sitting in my studio/shop/used bookstore and thinking about all the used books I have that are damaged, or just simply don't sell. I was wishing I could do something with them and suddenly I thought, hey! I could print on their pages!!! I rummaged around and found an old dictionary with the pages falling out and printed a puffin design on it. (We are lucky enough to have puffins that nest very close to us, so puffins are featured a lot in my artwork. That's one of my clay raku puffins with me in my photo.) I was so excited about the extra depth that the dictionary text gave to the image. Now I do a lot of different things with book pages. Some of those designs can be found in my other shop www.etsy.com/shop/theprintedmenagerie
My pottery can be found at www.etsy.com/shop/wildfirepotter
I think I am happiest when I am coming up with new designs.
I hope you enjoy browsing my shop, thanks for visiting!

In order to save paper I don't include a packing slip/receipt in with your purchase. If you would like one please let me know in the note to seller. Etsy does send an email with a receipt for your purchase and you can also find it in your account.
Shipping
SHIPPING TIMES:
DOMESTIC:
Most domestic orders arrive in Canada within 6 business days of purchase (could be a lot less, depending on where you live. Orders are shipped from Nova Scotia).
UNITED STATES:
Orders to the US can take up to 3-4 weeks to arrive because of customs delays. That's not usually the case, however it does happen sometimes. Roughly 12 business days is a good estimate on how long it will take. (Canada Post is not open on the weekends, so count week days only).
INTERNATIONAL:
International orders can take up to 6 weeks sometimes (although that's pretty long, usually 3 weeks is a safer estimate.)
The cost of shipping includes a small handling charge for careful packaging to ensure your purchase arrives safely. Please note that I live in a very rural area with postal pickup early in the morning. There could be 2-3 days before they go into the mail as I make them after they are ordered and I have another full-time business. If you are in a rush please let me know in the message to seller and I will try to ship your order as soon as possible. If your order does not arrive within 6 weeks I will ship you another or refund your payment, whichever makes you happier!
