Playful, Colourful and Fun – These Are Cards With Personality!

The Beautiful Project is a one-woman stationery & design company located in Vancouver, BC Canada started by designer and illustrator, Jeannette Ordas. Starting out selling on etsy “just to see what would happen”, The Beautiful Project has grown into a successful industry of one selling to small boutiques, flower shops, markets, bookstores, and gallery shops all over Canada and the United States. Jeannette divides her time between her card business and a web design business, Matchbox Creative, that she runs alongside her programmer husband.

When someone receives a card from The Beautiful Project, it's important that it feels like that card was made just for them. These are cards with personality! Her designs are colourful and fun, many featuring cute animals wearing sly grins and spouting silly, funny, and sometimes sassy sentiments.

Every item is designed and printed with care using FSC certified (aka "forest friendly") recycled paper. And as of late 2019, all A2 sized cards come with 100% recycled kraft envelopes. We are trying to reduce our use of cellophane sleeves for cards, so often times orders with 2 or 3 cards will be added to just 1 sleeve & larger card orders are carefully packaged in 100% recycled kraft paper bags to reduce plastic. The Beautiful Project strives to not just create beautiful paper goods, but be affordable and eco-friendly too.

I work with a professional local neighbourhood digital + offset print shop that specializes in high quality printing with reliable service. They are a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified printer and use only recycled paper in their facility.
