I fell in love with souvenirs as a 6 year old. My family were roadtrippers, crossing the west and midwest parts of America multiple times a year. I have collected over 500 of the those little pressed pennies you see at truck stops and National Monuments. I wanted to remember all of my travels in a small but thoughtful way.
As I got older and continued to travel I noticed that gone were the small bronze thimbles and plaster snow globes I longed for. More and more souvenir stands, truck stops and even National Park gift stores became full of plastic, mass produced, and down right tacky items that I was not willing to pay for to be physical memory of my travels.
With The Bent Key, I hope to create those pieces that will help you and your loved ones remember your travels. Just because you didn’t pick up the piece while on the road, doesn’t mean it can’t help you remember that fabulous trip you will never forget.
