Welcome to The Bolt & Bobbin. We are a small family owned business consisting of sisters, Lindsey Cooke & Stacey McRuer, with support from our husbands, kids and parents. We are happily located in Winnipeg, MB. Right smack dab in the middle of the Canadian prairies.

Sewing is in our blood. We are lucky enough to have a wonderfully crafty mom, and aunts, who have taken the time to teach us that sewing isn’t about being perfectionists, no wait, yes it is! They are the reason we have turned into the sewists we are today.

Having both moved away from the prairies for a few years, our eyes were opened to a much wider array of modern and quality fabric choices. Moving back home was the best choice, for both of us, but it definitely made it hard to find the fabric we were used to having right at our crafty little finger tips.

This new Etsy venture is starting with a small curated selection of the best quality interlock and rib knits that we have been able to source. Having said that, we can’t wait to grow the company to include many more quality knits and cotton fabrics for you, and by default us, to enjoy!

Please note, we operate this Etsy store in addition to managing full time jobs and running households. This means that we do our absolute best to respond to messages and ship orders as quickly as possible.
