About TheBrackishBaroness

On Etsy since 2013

Welcome to Brackish Baroness!

Formerly known as Angband Creative, Ang dabbles in everything from writing, sewing, drawing, enameling, and even Byzantine icon painting. After expanding into the copper jewelry business, it was decided a more elegant name was needed, hence Brackish Baroness was born! The name of the shop comes from her use of an alligator as heraldry in a medieval reenactment society, in which she holds the title of baroness. We're only slightly salty here, hence, brackish. ;)

The shop expanded into 3D printing in 2020 when a friend from New York sent files for dumpster fire ornaments in order to help with their insane workload, and our machines haven't slowed down since.

Angela married Jeffery in 2014, and the Navy has taken them from Connecticut, to New Hampshire, to California, to Florida, and now Virginia. They try to show up at local craft events when there's a lack of pandemic.

Returns and exchanges
All artwork can be returned in the original unopened packaging for a full refund. Damage sustained by shipping carrier may be able to have a claim for compensation.

All goods that have not been used can be returned for a full refund, no questions asked.

Custom made items, including artwork and clothing, are subjected to a partial refund to cover costs of materials as they cannot be returned, or if the item cannot be re-shelved, then a compromise will be made. Full refunds can be accommodated on a case by case basis, but do understand if the cost of the materials are high, and the odds of successful resale are low, you may not receive a full refund.
Any item can be paid via Direct Checkout, however, custom orders should be done through Paypal to ensure that I can access the funds to create your custom item. I don't have backup capital to dip into, I just have this little business and work paycheck to paycheck. Any purchase must be cancelled within 24 hours to receive a full refund. No refunds can be made once materials for custom items have been purchased.
I ship all items via First Class unless otherwise noted or requested. This is not a guaranteed service. I can make no guarantee with any piece shipped USPS but I damn sure fight with them a lot. Buyers are welcome to pay additional costs for guaranteed shipping services via FedEx or UPS (they're opening a FedEx location near me, so I'll probably be going there more often soonish).

I will, however, do my very best to meet all deadlines and will front additional shipping costs on my end should I cut close.
Additional policies and FAQs
All custom orders come with a lifetime maintenance guarantee. If something becomes damaged due to regular wear-and-tear, you can send it back and I can repair it free of charge. Just help pay shipping. :)
