About

A Passion for Making Beautiful Things for Others to Enjoy

Machine embroidery began as an 'interesting hobby' and has now turned into a full-blown obsession. Although they tried to warn me when I joined an embroidery club soon after purchasing my first embroidery machine, I never dreamed that this process could become so addictive! As often happens to those of us who are 'process' people, we end up with way more product than we know what to do with!

I started to sell machine embroidered linens at local holiday bazaars and craft events to reduce my growing inventory. I learned that folks really appreciated the variety I was able to offer and was soon receiving custom requests for specific designs and monogrammed items.

At the urging of family and friends, I decided to open my little Etsy shop - The Bride's Hope Chest - and have enjoyed selling my items and making new friends around the world.

In selecting the designs I use, I try to offer unique motifs that are not available in stores or other venues. For example, have you ever seen kitchen towels with a New Years' motif, llamas or a whimsical outhouse in a brick and mortar store? The feedback I received on the sale of these items confirms that my little shop fills a gap that the open market has overlooked and has helped to define success for me!
