I can't remember a time when I wasn't creating.

I started my first Etsy shop, ScottsMountainCrafts, in 2006 when I started hammering on metal and making shawl pins. That turned into what is now a very popular shop for Fiber craft tools - Yarnswifts, Nostepinnes, Yarn Gauges and recently, Tapestry bobbins and now tools and accessories for Stitchers - you can find our flosswinders, needleminders and corner gauges over there.

My crafting history......I learned how to crochet at 4 years old after begging my Great Aunt Marie to teach me - I think she was tired of making me doll hat after doll hat. Crochet was my first fiber-love, along with needlepoint and macramé. I had picked up cross stitch after seeing my Mother in Law stitch - she always seemed to have a WIP and take it on her camping trips. Over the years I've accumulated quite a crafting history - knitting, weaving, spinning, punch needle, quilting - I'm a maker through and through.

My crafting has evolved over the years and in 2020 I found my way back to crossstitching and well, it's now led to designing cross stitch patterns. Newly retired in June of 2023, it has left me the time to be able to chart my ideas and present them to you. I hope if you stitch one of my designs you will let me know!
