5 out of 5 starsI love this tag! It matches my dog's color nicely and the design and text texture matches. They both look rough-cast and rustic, but done really well and deep, so the design and engraving shouldn't wear off anytime soon. It's not heavy which is nice, but it looks chunky, and it jingles distinctively like a big coin when he runs around. It makes him easier to keep track of around other dogs! I expect this to wear down nicely and look good and be easy to read for a very long time. Lisa got in touch when my text wouldn't fit and suggested another idea that fit that worked great!

5 out of 5 starsThis tag is beautifully crafted and the perfect design for my Labrador mix rescue pup! Leo loves his tag and I’m so happy I made this purchase. I’ve been dreaming about getting him a custom Gallifreyan tag for so long (even before I got him)! It was just a matter of finding someone who offered this service. Thank you for making my dream a reality!

And She Found Her Calling...
Once upon a time there was a girl who was lost. She had wandered from Texas to Arizona and all the way out to California to work in the Tech industry. But alas, the Tech industry wasn't destined to be as good as expected and many, many people had to leave California for other places, including the girl.
She found her way back to Texas where she enrolled in school to become an Interior Designer. Among her required classes was Introduction to Jewelry Making. Like a lightning bolt, the girl was hit with inspiration and love and knew she had found her place! She earned her Bachelor of Fine Art in Jewelry and Metalsmithing.
Instilled in the girl was also a love of pets. She moved from state to state with a dog and multiple cats. They loyally stayed by her side through thick and thin. She wanted to make something to show them how important they were to her, something that represented both them and her, and something that could help them get home were they ever lost.
Thus, the creation of Pet ID Tags began! She created a shop called IvyMoon Designs and opened a little branch called IvyMoon Customs, which was soon changed to The Copper Bone, because the shop was for dogs, after all! She knew her fellow pet lovers needed the same things she did!
Now here life has entirely gone to the dogs!

Customer Service, HBIC, The Boss
This is Juneau! She's really in charge. When you call, this is who you will talk to. Probably why we don't have a phone! She is rather opinionated and argumentative, but inside she's a real softy! She is also our product tester!
Shop policies
I make every item myself, with my own two hands, in my own little studio. I can assure you that every item is made with love and care. I am happy to create that special piece just for you!
If you don't see what you are looking for, please feel free to send me a Custom Order Request! I will be happy to design that perfect item you are looking for.
I will also be happy to do bulk orders and have done so in the past for events, groups, and families. I've already done as many as 500 custom items for one event! It was an excellent experience and I look forward to any challenges you can provide for me.

Frequently asked questions
Why do your items take so long to create and ship?
Unlike other similar items, all of the items I create in this shop are Acid Etched. The design work as well as the creation process is much more tedious and requires more experience to create than a simple stamped item. It is a time consuming process and I typically have 20 to 150 items to create every week.
Also, I do this for a living, full time. This is not my only sales venue! I travel to show my wares at various Fairs and Festivals all year, requiring I keep a full inventory and new samples for my customers to see! Because I am away from the studio during these times, I am unable to work on anything until I return home.
While orders are always a priority, I do split my time between orders, samples, and inventory creation.
Do I need to ask for a custom order?
Everything in this shop is custom made to order. So unless you have an unusual item that I have not listed, you do not have to ask for a custom order. If you do ask, I will be happy to show you how to order from the item of your choice.
Where do I tell you what to put on the back of my tag?
Please leave this information for me in the "Notes to Seller" section of the order form. Be sure to include all of the information and double check to make sure all names, phone numbers, and other pertinent information are accurate. Remember, if you tell me the incorrect information, you will need to order a second item to replace the one made with the incorrect information.
