    Welcome to The Cow Pelt. We are mother and daughter designers located in the quaint little mountain town of Ellijay, Georgia just North of Atlanta. Our creative time is spent enjoying the restoration of antiques and producing eclectic pieces from vintage furniture and décor. Our objective is updating the old into a modern style or keeping the authenticity of its true character and sometimes providing a fun, funky twist. There are many furniture styles in our inventory from Jacobean, William and Mary, Queen Anne, Regency, Chippendale, Federal, French, Empire, etc. that are awaiting for a new innovative look. All items are either restored and refinished or cleaned and polished with new upholstery. We specialize in handcrafted furnishings that are one-of-a-kind statement pieces using exotic Brazilian cowhides. Our unique designs consist of chairs, ottomans, footstools, benches and pillows.

    Custom orders are always welcome and working with a client from start to finish on any project is a real pleasure. We offer handcrafted custom ottomans, footstools, benches and pillows of many different designs and materials.

    Custom pillows do not come with inserts unless they are an odd size and require one to be made.

    All of our furniture and accessories are locally handcrafted or restored in Ellijay, Georgia.

    There will be original works of photography available periodically.

    Returns and exchanges

    Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

    Returns and exchange details
    Broken Item: The item and packaging must be kept exactly how it was received to file an insurance claim. This includes all shipping materials along with the box that your item was shipped. The shipping service for which your package was delivered will require an inspection of the damaged item and packaging for reimbursement. This is a must. Please send a message and we will assist with filing a claim.

    Defective Item: All items are carefully inspected prior to shipping. Please contact us immediately if you receive a defective item. We will work together to resolve the issue.

    Unsatisfied with Item: You must contact us within 24hrs of receipt. All returns must be authorized prior to sending back and will not be accepted after 7 days. Upon authorization, the buyer is responsible to return items in original condition including all packaging, and a refund will be issued once inspected. The buyer is responsible for all shipping and insurance fees (insurance coverage is required).

    Shipping fees will be deducted from any and all items being returned that were purchased with "Free Shipping". This is defined by any shipping cost incurred by the seller will be deducted from the purchase price that is being refunded to the buyer. Each item listed on Etsy states in the description details the percentage of a restocking fee for return of item or items with no exceptions.

    Disclaimer:
    Actual colors may vary. This is due to the fact that every computer monitor has a different capability to display colors and that everyone sees these colors differently. We try to edit our photos to show the samples as life-like as possible, but please understand the actual color may vary slightly from your monitor. We cannot guarantee that the color you see accurately portrays the true color of the product.
    Payment
    Payments are accepted through Etsy checkout or PayPal. Personal checks are accepted with the understanding that payment must clear prior to shipping and may take up to 14 business days. Also, a PAYMENT / LAY-A-WAY PLAN is available over a 90 day period.
    Shipping
    All items are shipped insured with delivery confirmation via UPS or USPS Priority unless other arrangements have been made between buyer and seller. Any and all orders over $50 will require a signature upon delivery. Once your item has been processed for shipment, you will receive a notification message from Etsy with all shipping info including your tracking number. We have a general rule that all packages are shipped within two business days receipt of payment.

    Large furniture items are shipped via Greyhound, UShip, UPS or any service the buyer prefers. Also, local pick-up and delivery is available. Please contact us regarding delivery areas and cost.

    Expedited shipping is available upon request.

    Gift wrap is available upon request.

    We gladly ship international...please contact us regarding shipping rates. The buyer is responsible for duties, customs and taxes levied by the buyer’s country.

    All items are carefully packaged. We use heavy duty boxes and all furniture pieces are wrapped extensively in bubble wrap and secured by bubble packets, cushioning, peanuts, foam, and/ or heavy duty packaging paper. Pillows will come enclosed in a moisture resistant clear cellophane bag. You will receive a personalized thank you card along with a brochure card.

    Shipping fees will be deducted from any and all returns of items that were purchased with "Free Shipping". This is defined by any shipping cost incurred by the seller will be deducted from the purchase price that is being refunded.
