A True Labor of Love
The Craft Mill began as a true labor of love. Between my regular daytime job, raising our granddaughter, community involvement and my husband's 12 hour law enforcement shifts we just weren't seeing one another.
I grew up with the understanding that family comes before everything else and I was determined to put that belief into action. I knew I wanted to do something from home but what?! Then, someone told me about Etsy. I've always hand made gifts for loved ones and decor for our home so I decided to give Etsy a try.
We didn't have a lot so in 2012 The Craft Mill began with $100 in cash and a $50 Joann's gift card. Though the first year or two was more about experimenting and finding my niche; I eventually landed in handmade jewelry. In the beginning every dollar went back into The Craft Mill for supplies and tools. There were times when I began to think I had made a mistake. Looking back, I am so glad I made the decision that I did.
The Craft Mill was created as a way to spend more time with my family & give a more meaningful life to my granddaughter. Not only is that now a possibility but I'm doing something for a living that I absolutely love. I get to make beautiful things and put a smile on someone's face with each piece that's sold. It doesn't get better than that!
Thank you for taking a few moments to learn about who we are. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or custom ideas. We would LOVE to hear from you! Stay tuned to what's going on with our little company because we have so much more to come!
Owner, Maker, Designer
Hello everyone! I am a stay-at-home Nana & law enforcement wife. I began The Craft Mill as a way to spend more time with my family & give a more meaningful life to my granddaughter. Together we make beautiful items that hopefully everyone will love.
This little beauty is Jocelyn. She's the light & joy of our family, & this company. She loves nothing more than homeschooling with her Nana & playing assistant during her down time. She's currently working on her own line of jewelry to be added soon.

Additional policies and FAQs
★★Cleaning instructions ☛ These hand-stamped pieces are not made of traditional metals and are very delicate...therefore they should never be soaked in jewelry cleaning solutions. If you feel the need to bring the shine back to your pieces; purchase a simple polishing pad with polish already built in. I recommend Pro Polish Pads or Sunshine Pads.
★★Jewelry tip ☛ Over time, you may find that your hand-stamped jewelry has begun to form small hairline scratches from the different pieces rubbing together. This is especially true if you have multiple metal pieces on one chain or bracelet. If this should happen; you can take the scratches out in 30 seconds by using #00 grit steel wool (found in Walmart or any hardware store with the sandpaper) and lightly sanding the surface in one direction. It won't take much. Then, lightly polish with your jewelry polish pad to bring the shine back.
