Helen is an award-winning artisan who has a big heart for handmade. Helen takes inspiration from nature and the abundance of colours and shapes in our surroundings with a special adoration for rainbows. She enjoys helping others to learn and grow and loves to work with many different fibres and mediums and is always open to trying new ideas and ways of making things.

Helen created her first craft business, Artisan Alley, in 2014 to initially sell her handmade crochet wares at local events and fairs. In 2016 Artisan Alley was recognised as one of the inaugural #Rochdale30! This award gave Helen a huge confidence boost and inspired many more ideas and dreams of one day being able to craft and create full-time, whilst helping others develop their own artisanal skillset and take advantage of the many proven health and wellbeing benefits of crafting.

Helen is a home-bird who resides in Rochdale, Lancashire with her partner Neil and their three children. She has a dedicated pet-free studio to craft and create to her hearts content. Helen’s goal is to inspire and nurture the mini Artisans of the future by helping them to “create, achieve and succeed, with Crafty Crew."
