Hello. I am Katherine, the owner of The Creative Easel. I grew up on the east coast of Florida. The Atlantic Ocean was minutes from my door. I have always loved the beach, the ocean, and the outdoors. At one point I thought I would go into oceanography, but art won out. After college I moved to Texas to support myself as a teacher. I have a husband and two teenage daughters. With my girls older I have found the time to get back to my own art and paint almost everyday. In the summers I travel and try to get back to the ocean. A lot of my art is based around the beach, the ocean, the farmland that currently surrounds me and anything else I find inspiring.
