Blessings in the Midst of Difficulty

I have always been a creative person, but it wasn't until I was in my mid 40's that I began to paint in watercolor and sell my art. I was a very active person, most of my life, and my artistic/creative outlets fell in areas like competitive diving, gymnastics, garden design, and most recently, developing and teaching a preschool dance program at Vancouver's Columbia Dance as well as performing every year in the seasonal production of The Nutcracker. I am a published author, and I have also been asked many times to speak at women's conferences and retreats, which I enjoy very much and put a lot of artistic effort into my presentations.

In 2001 I came down with a severe virus and never recovered.. Over the next couple of years I went to many doctors. It was a long road, but I was finally diagnosed with M.E./CFS (better known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). It has also caused Partial Dysautonomia - which is a dysfunction of the Autonomic Nervous System (the part of the central nervous system that controls all automatic functions). This has meant that I am no longer active in my past activities and had to quit my dance teaching, writing, and speaking.

Anxious not to let a chronic illness ruin my life, I began looking for things that I could spend my time doing. Painting with watercolor was perfect for me. In 2006, I opened my shop here on Etsy selling both my original paintings and ACEO"s.

Being stuck most hours in a recliner is difficult, but I am thankful that God has brought me to a point of developing new artistic endeavors.

When I became chronically ill with ME/CFS my life changed. Determined to cope, I learned to paint with watercolor and I love it!! I also love: my husband of 30+yrs, my 3 kids, Hawaii and all things Hawaiian, tea, football and the Green Bay Packers.

We aren't a retail store that stocks items that people purchase. We are more like partners with our customers. We help them create prints that they need to run their own businesses or etsy shops or to hang in galleries.

Welcome! I love to create and I love to serve, so I will enjoy doing my very best for you!

Art is my creative outlet during a hard period of illness in my life. I love the dance that occurs between water and pigment. Every painting I do is an adventure!
