We have been creating various pieces of art and projects for ourselves and family members for years. We've always heard "This is great, you should sell these!" But of course coming from family and friends we never took it very seriously.

Then one day I looked at my husband and said, "Let's open a shop on Etsy!" In return, I received a blank stare, amazingly, he had never heard of Etsy before. After showing him the site and explaining how it worked, he was on board! After lots of research and lots of work, we opened our shop in January of 2013. It's been an amazing process that has exceeded our expectations. We are beyond excited to see what the future holds for The Double Dubs!

All of the barnwood that we use in our shop has been reclaimed from our family farms in Wisconsin and is nearly 100 years old. We love the idea of taking a piece or our history and sharing it with the rest of the world.

Our process for creating pieces is pretty simple. I have an idea, and my husband helps me to bring that idea to life. He's in charge of all the rough and finishing work, while I do the artistic aspects of each piece. We're the perfect team and together we come up with new ideas all the time.
