Announcement    Welcome to Fabricmonger! Located in Durham, NC, I am a one woman show fueled by a love of sewing and a small obsession with stash building. I believe sewing can be an act of resistance, and with every garment we make we can say no to fast fashion, beauty standards, gender norms, exploitive labor and a disposable culture. Also, a freshly washed and ironed stack of fabric on my sewing table simply puts a little joy in my heart! Whatever your reason, Fabricmonger brings you the fabric inspiration you need to get creating!

About TheFabricMonger

Sales 1,496
On Etsy since 2020

Hi! Thanks for taking a moment to learn about my shop! FabricMonger was born from my love of fabric, and a desire to cultivate more joy for myself, my fellow fabric enthusiasts and sewists during what has been an otherwise difficult year. (thanks 2020!)
A Monger is traditionally a person who deals or pedals something considered slightly unsavory or questionable. The name Fabricmonger is a bit of a tongue in cheek nod to anyone who has snuck another bag of fabric past the side eye of a disapproving spouse or friend. It recognizes that one more fat quarter you may or may not use one day is a worthy spend because it brings you joy, and lets face it, looks very pretty in the color coordinated stack with the others. My goal is to offer high quality apparel fabrics and quilting cottons at fair prices. I look to add more inventory very soon. Thankyou for visiting my shop!

Frequently asked questions
Will you cut a fat quarter or curate a bundle for me?

Most likely, depending on inventory! Just send me a message and I will do my best to accommodate!

Really? No returns or exchanges? Cancellations only before one hour?

Yes, sorry. The truth is that when you order a yard or two and I cut it, it can never be put back on the bolt. I would need to find a buyer for the exact length that you purchased. HOWEVER! If you change your mind and more than one hour has passed, please message me! I will gladly cancel for you if I have not yet cut your order. Finally, if your order arrives to you and there is a defect, please let me know within one day and I will exchange it for you, shipping paid for by me,

Will you combine shipping on an order with several items?

Of course! Send me a message and I will sort it out for you. Selling fabric on Etsy with accurate shipping is *very difficult* but know that I will never over charge you for shipping, never add a handling fee, and you will be refunded for any overages of more than $1.00. I will do everything I can to get you the best deal on shipping.
