Fabric...From My Town to Yours

I originally started my shop as CedarDog Vintage selling a wide range of home décor items that I found locally. I soon began to realize that not only was there a lot of fabric to be found at thrift stores, garage sales and auctions, but that this was really my passion -- I LOVE FABRIC!

So I changed the name of my shop to The Fabric Score, gradually phased out my home décor items, and at first began listing only vintage fabric. But who could pass up all the wonderful not-so-vintage fabrics I was finding? It wasn't long before those started showing up in my listings as well.

My faves? I love vintage cottons (especially florals), linens, wools and silks (when I can find them). But I do also have some synthetic dress fabrics, lots of not-so-vintage quilting fabrics and even a few knits and upholstery fabrics.

My biggest challenge? Keeping up with all my fabric: washing, measuring, storing, listing etc. But it's also the most fun part of having my business!

The Fabric Score is your ONLINE FABRIC STORE and the place to go for vintage as well as not-so-vintage fabric! I have a wide selection of cotton quilting fabric, upholstery fabric, dress fabric, wool, silk and more! I search out local garage sales, thrift stores and auctions where I find great fabrics and then pass them on to you. Be sure to use the search box on my shop page to find what you're looking for!

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
My goal is for you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase(s) and will refund your money for ANY reason. All I ask is that you notify me within TWO WEEKS of receiving your item, and ship the item back to me (at your expense) in its original condition. Once I receive the item, I will gladly refund the PURCHASE PRICE ONLY (not shipping).

The Fabric Score ships INTERNATIONALLY! International shipments are made through the United States Postal Service (USPS) First Class International (see note below regarding import duties and other charges).

Domestic (US) shipments are also made through USPS, and should take 2 to 8 days for delivery (Items weighing a pound or less will go First Class. Heavier items will be shipped Parcel Post or Priority, whichever is cheaper). Items ship from Roseburg, Oregon.

Barring hurricane force winds, hip-high snow drifts or other unforeseen determents, I will ship within 1 to 2 business days following receipt of payment.

If you desire to purchase multiple items from my shop, I may be able to offer you a DISCOUNT on SHIPPING*. Just convo me and I'll see what I can do.

I reimburse shipping overpayment, which I determine as follows (with few exceptions): I round UP from the actual cost of shipment and reimburse anything paid above that (if the amount is $1 or more). For example: You pay me $13 to ship your item(s). However, it only costs $5.25 to ship. I round UP from $5.25 and get $6.00. Therefore, your reimbursement amount is $13 minus $6, or $7.00.

* Well over half my customers receive some kind of shipping reimbursement. Whenever possible, I ship first class or Priority (flat rate) if it's cheaper.


-Import duties, taxes and customs charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
-Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying.
-These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight or shipping company or when you pick the item up and should not be considered additional shipping costs.

Frequently asked questions
How much of this fabric do you have left?

Look for a drop down menu to the right of the photo on the listing. This will tell you how many units (yards or other amounts) are remaining. If there is no drop down menu, it will say "Only 1 available".

Can you get more of this fabric for me?

Unfortunately, no. All my fabric is found locally and often in smaller amounts. Whatever is listed is what I have available. Sadly, I am not able to obtain more.

Do you combine shipping?

Yes! I am always happy to combine shipping to save you money. You can purchase multiple items with confidence, knowing any excess shipping you pay will be reimbursed according to my policies (see "Shipping and Policies" under the listing photo).

Do you wash all your fabrics before listing them?

No. Some of the fabrics I find need to be washed before I sell them as they have been previously owned and will sometimes have an unpleasant odor. However, unless the fabric needs obvious laundering, I will often leave it to you to do that. In many cases, the fabric is found in it's original, unwashed condition.
I generally avoid fabrics that appear to have been washed multiple times or are faded. If the fabric is just too "cool" to pass up, however, I may go ahead and list it, but usually mention if the fabric seems to be, in my opinion, a bit faded or worn.
