About

Slow and steady

I started out selling baby bibs and burp cloths under the label Upsiedoodle in 2002. I was buying my fabric at retail prices, and as my business grew, I knew I needed to be able to cut my materials costs in order to keep the costs down for my customers. I opened my first wholesale account with Michael Miller. They required an 8 bolt minimum, and that was a HUGE expenditure for me at the time. I decided to sell my excess fabric on Etsy as The Fab Store. I have since opened up many more wholesale accounts, and have grown my collection considerably. I still sell baby gifts on my Upsiedoodle website, but my real passion is selling fabric. I recently upgraded the shelving in my studio so that I can accommodate twice as much fabric as before. My husband is currently working on database software that will help me to manage my inventory more effectively, making my order filling process faster and more accurate. My goal is to provide high quality fabrics at a great price, and with fast shipping.

I love sewing, and I love fabric! I have sewn all sorts of things in the past, but now I focus on quilts and baby bibs and burp cloths. I hope my customers will love the fabrics that I carry in my shop and will enjoy creating with them!

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
I accept Paypal as payment. If you do not have an existing Paypal account and would like to make a purchase, simply select Paypal as your method of payment in the Etsy checkout, click on the green "Pay with Paypal" button, and follow the steps to pay with your credit card.

TAX
I live in the great state of Texas. If you're lucky enough to live here too, I'm required to charge you 8.25% sales tax. The tax will automatically be added to your total when you check out.
Shipping
Shipping rates are as follows:
1 yard First Class Mail $3
2 yards First Class Mail $4.25
3-6 yards Flat Rate Priority Envelope $5.60
7-20 yards Flat Rate Priority Box $12

Please note that shipping does not always calculate correctly on multiple yard purchases. When this happens, I will refund overpayments when I ship your fabric. If you have any questions, please ask.

Since I print my shipping labels using Paypal, I ship to the Paypal address, not the Etsy address, so please check to make sure Paypal has your current address. If you'd like to have your fabric shipped to a different address please add a note to seller during the checkout process.

Lost Packages:

I am sorry, I cannot be held responsible once the fabric is shipped. I will help you try and locate your package by providing all relevant shipment information; however, non-delivered packages will not be reshipped or refunded.
Refunds and Exchanges
I am happy to replace or refund any fabric that is damaged. If this happens, please contact me right away.
