Updates

Our keyrings with useful swivel clips make great gifts as well as being easy on your wallet too. Made with our high quality, hand pressed cabochons and the proceeds going to our non-profit cat shelter.
Gorgeous new images in the shop that I am just crazy over. Get them as flat backs, pinbacks or magnets. Also available as a photo pendant or keyring, you can even pick your favorite image.
Why not give our new pendant necklaces a try? We have introduced a bezel setting that is made to fit our hand pressed cabochons perfectly with no gaps or seams around the edges. Use your own photos, text, or hand writing for a true one of a kind piece.

About

From Art Festivals to Steampunk Conventions, I've done it all.

Back in 2007 a new friend, now my best friend suggested starting an Etsy shop with my fairy creations. I needed to generate some income because I got just fired from my job, yep fired! Chronic migraines are a beast and back then they pretty much ruled my life. Now they are under "control" only now with aging come new problems, you know them. So I started my shop and went head first doing local craft shows with no one to show me the ropes. It is true that expression "you learn from experience" because I had none. Thank God for my parents always there helping set up and tear down. Unless you have done it you have no idea how hard it is. I created a small following that started looking for me from one year to the next which makes you feel really good. Well, I accomplished that so to the next phase.

Divorce struck and I sold my dream house moving home to the family farm in 2009. Shortly after my artistic flair moved to more "Steampunk & Wonderland" while my mother was making phenomenal jewelry. We decided to team for the sake of the non-profit cat shelter which is located on the farm that I now help her run. Again we hit the road only this time doing steampunk conventions & comicons. Some I had to do by myself because we had no one to care for the shelter. WOW! What a ride, and by that I mean Atlanta, Chicago, Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Pennsylvania, Alabama and all in a old white van from TN hoping it does not break down (it survived but it is dying now).

One Christmas I mentioned to my mom that I wanted to sell supplies. Well my present was my first button machine. The next Christmas my son got me the second machine. I now have a 1" & 2.25" and sales have sky rocketed. I bought an extra 1" for back up. I purchase images from Etsy sellers looking for the most beautiful and best I can find to offer my customers. Always adding and updating is actually fun. I am now concentrating more on editable selections to make your shopping experience a more personable one.

One thing I have not touched on is my Alice creations. I introduced my "Storycup" line in 2012 which has sold beyond my wildest dreams. I then started doing larger centerpieces, bell jars, cake stands and teapots. My pieces have been commissioned for weddings and sweet 16 parties, also used as cake toppers and baby showers all over the world. I will continue to add new additions to my line every year.

Some little tidbits you might not know about me/my shop:
~TheFaerywatcher is the home to the original "Captured Fairy Wings"
~I make miniature decor, fairy abodes, fairy doors, custom shadowboxes, whimsical jewelry, cards, steampunk decor, Alice in Wonderland decor, music boxes, keepsake boxes.
~I have rescued animals for 25 years and help run C.L.A.W.S. Inc. 501c3 non-fit cat sanctuary. It stands for Cat Lovers Alliance for Welfare & Sterilization
~In my life I have been a vet assist, prof cake decorator, load tractor trailers at UPS, started my own home cleaning co. (6 years), and now I am my own boss again.

Thank you for your visit to my page. Sorry it took me so long to do one!
Love & Light,
The Faerywatcher/Wendy
