Because family is everything.

When I was in college, I needed to find a way to make some extra cash to help pay for books/supplies/etc. I always loved to craft, especially jewelry making, and wanted a creative outlet to take my mind off of schoolwork as well. While I earned my BFA in Fine Arts, 3D Concentration in Ceramics, at the University of Cincinnati, I started my business. At the time, I conducted my shop as "Poor Girl at School". Several years later, I said yes to my incredible husband and changed my business name to "Poor Bride at School".

After we married in 2010, I decided it was time for a more permanent name change and thought long and hard about why I owned a business and what my drive was; that's when it clicked. Everything I do is for the ones I love, most importantly my family. We knew after our wedding we wanted a big family and I began stewing on business names. It wasn't long until I knew "The Family Jewels" was it. I consider myself somewhat funny so in typical "me" fashion, it was catchy, fun, and exactly what I was looking for.

In April 2012, we welcomed our first child, a daughter whom we named Zoey. She is the absolute light of my life and I could not imagine my life without her.

So, when she sleeps, I beadazzle away to share my love for creating jewelry in hopes that someone out there falls in love with a piece.

My goal as a full-time working mom, along with this business, is to always keep my family first and to be able to provide the best that I can for them.

Welcome to my shop.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
Refunds and/or exchanges can be issued within one week of receipt. Each order is different, so please contact me as soon as possible if you wish to return or exchange an item(s). Also, stamped metal is not perfect manufacturing. Each letter or design is stamped individually which is why each custom piece is so unique. If your item is broken upon receipt or breaks within 30 days of receiving your item through normal wear and tear, please let me know.
Payment must be received within 48 hours of the order placement. If payment is not received within that time, the order will be cancelled. If you need an extension on payment, please convo me. I accept PayPal (all major credit cards) and a money order if you would prefer this.
All stamped metal items are made to order. Turnaround time on metal stamped items is 10-14 days maximum. Items may ship sooner. Items will be shipped via USPS in a padded mailer with delivery confirmation. All items are created in a smoke-free environment. If you wish to purchase expedited shipping or insurance, please let me know and I will be happy to work with you.
