About

Fantasy is Real.

I have been obsessed with fantasy all my life. Fantasy offers beauty, escape, and an alternate reality one can step into at any time inside their own mind. I've been creating every sort of visual art since I was a small child, but when I began to create fantasy-themed sculpted art jewelry five years ago, there was something about that medium that just clicked for me more than painting or drawing, and felt like a natural continuation of who I was.

I love how powerful a role that what we are wearing on any given day affects the way we feel, behave, and view ourselves. What you wear is a statement of who you are, what you love, and how you want the world to see you. The thing I love so much about sculptural fantasy jewelry is that you can wear these pieces on any ordinary day, to work, or class, or the coffee shop, and still feel like part of your soul is residing in the realm of fantasy even while your body is in the real world.

The other aspect that I love about sculpting fantasy jewelry is that there really is no limit to what I can create. The materials that I use are quite simple: clay, textiles, beads, watch parts. Basically, if I can imagine a design, then I can make it, so I'm constantly pushing myself to create new and wonderful things that don't yet exist. The best part of all is getting to conjure something new out of the raw materials that in turn become someone else's personal expression of their own soul as they wear it.

Shipping
As of May 2016 all orders are shipped via Canada Post's global "Small Packet" service.

Canada: depends on your location. Western Canada should take about 7 business days.

United States: Canada Post estimates that packages arrive in 7-10 business days to major urban centers in the United States. If you are outside of a major urban center this can add days to the total. I am learning that the slowest delivery times will be to the Eastern U.S. These can take roughly 14 business days, but may be there sooner.

International: Shipping times can vary widely! Canada Post gives a broad estimate of 6-10 business days, but in the fine print says this is based on being sent to a major urban center, and outside of urban centers can take longer, and different countries' customs procedures can add to the shipping time. I have had deliveries made in under two weeks, but others that took longer. Again, if you need an upgrade, or would like to track or insure your package, please message me beforehand. As of May 2016, all orders are shipped via regular air mail rather than ground mail.

HOW DURABLE IS MY ITEM?

A general note about polymer clay items: I use Sculpey's "Premo!" polymer clay, designed to be very strong and durable. However, items made out of these clays are not indestructible. I try to avoid designs that leave the item vulnerable to breakage, but sometimes items do include thin, protruding elements, and these need to be treated with care--they probably wouldn't survive a fall or rough jar, so please be careful. I am not responsible for breakages as a result of such accidents. I advise that any necklace with protruding or delicate elements should not be worn under a coat or seatbelt, just to be safe. Videos of Sculpey Premo "break tests" can be found on YouTube - please don't test your item's durability by actually pushing or bending it. I've never had an item break yet, but let's not let it happen!

One final note about copyright: I take pride in my ideas and creations--except for deliberate fan-art replicas from movies, etc, each one is my own design, and I have put much effort and love into each and every one. Please don't copy my ideas and designs.
