Announcement As I was creating this Spring line, I became more delighted with each new design, they look like decorated little confections, I thought, these are like little Bon Bons, so that is what I named them "little Bon Bons"

Never give up on your dreams
When I was very young, the thing I loved best was making dresses for my paper dolls, I loved color, fabric, feathers, flowers and wanted to have something to do with clothes or costumes or theater when I grew up. In school I was best at Home Economics and worst in Math and English. I went to Los Angeles to study Costume and Fashion design but was unable to finish. I worked for years as a waitress, finally when I got back to school, I took the safe road and became an Occupational Therapy Assistant which provided me with good employment for most of my life. I worked during the day as an OT and spent my nights making needlework patterns which I sold to magazines and cloth doll patterns that I sold in catalogs.
Five years ago I retired and decided that I still wanted to use my talent to do something creative so I started making hats (a skill I had picked up as a young woman taking night classes at a trade school). Five years ago, I hadn't heard of fascinators so I was calling them "hatlets" since they were small and informal. I built a website selling "hatlets" and doll patterns and then an Etsy site and by that time I knew that what I was making were called "Fascinators" in England and Australia. I have learned how the English make Fascinators and their decoration from online tutorials, I order my hat blocks and materials mostly from England and I now have the opportunity to live my dream every day.
Studied at LA Trade Tech, LAVC, LACC plus classes in millinery, pattern design and pattern drafting at local trade schools. Worked as an Occupational Therapy Assistant for 25 years. Millinery is my avocation and my passion.
