About

handmade felted wool bowls, planters, and ring dishes.

Hello, I'm Sharon.

I taught myself how to knit about 10 years ago, from a book. I quickly learned to love knitting, and look forward to knitting every evening, once I put my two little ones to bed.

I make each felted wool bowl by first hand knitting a loose bowl shape, followed by wet-felting to mesh the wool fibers together. I then trim each bowl, let it sit out on the windowsill to dry, and add some embroidery to make it unique.

Each felted bowl is carefully packed in a 100% recycled kraft paper box and tied with some wool or cotton yarn. I try to make each bowl feel as though it is a gift - even if it's just to yourself.

If you would like to see some behind-the-scenes images, get sneak peeks of what I am working on, or just look at some pretty plants, check out my shop instagram account: http://instagram.com/thefelterie
