Welcome to The Gladdest Thing! I’m Mac, - I’m a full-time illustrator based in the rainy, green Pacific Northwest. 🌿💛

The name "The Gladdest Thing" comes from some of my favorite lines in a beautiful, breezy poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay:

"I will be the gladdest thing
under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers
and not pick one."

These lines always remind me that being glad is a practice that’s rooted first in joy and thoughtfulness. Making these pieces has brought me so much joy, and I hope that they bring you joy as well. Here's to more making, sharing, and the being the gladdest things under the sun!
