Announcement    Dreams of paper; Eco-friendly miniature origami jewelry and decorative items!

A lot of my items are one of a kind by the very nature of my materials (handmade and recycled paper, natural stones and seashells, ...), so only a small percentage of my work is listed, contact me to see more and/or for custom requests.

Don't forget that the pandemic is still on and is adding delays to shipping times everywhere; your piece(s) are on their way, but it will take, possibly, much longer than usual.

Once in the system, there is nothing I can do to make it go faster, so contact me prior to shipping if you want to purchase a faster option and I'll see if one is available for you.

A frog story

Once upon a time, there was a 3 year old little girl who filled the living room with origami frogs folded from a newspaper lying around. This little girl started school and soon afterwards found herself in the back of the classrooms, folding smaller and smaller cranes and flowers in order to avoid getting caught while passing the time during boring classes (there were many of those!)…

Later on, she discovered origami books at the library and gobbled up many more patterns; then came the internet with even MORE patterns (yes I am that old)!...

Strangely enough though, she couldn’t fold frogs anymore?!? o.O

Then one day, on the verge of the new millennium, being all grown up, she decided she would like origami earrings…

On and off, for the next decade she tested varnishes and glues, while honing her jewelry skills on her own; then one day it finally worked! Some pretty, sturdy origami earrings were born and she proudly started wearing them everywhere!!!

Then a weird thing happened, more and more random strangers kept stopping her to ask where she had bought her bright colored earrings…?! So, after a while of this, she did a small batch, bought some boxes and went to a small fair… From then on, she made more pieces, went to more fairs, opened up an Etsy shop, followed by a Facebook page, and created more items, and more and more!!!

And now?! The rest depends on you!...

I grew up in a very crafty family and always had access and was encouraged to work and experiment with as many materials and techniques as I could! The result is that, at 41 years old I have more than 30 years of experience!

    Assistant, Tester

My 8 year old tuxedo girl is pretty much always by my side when I create stuff. She steals my pliers, munch on chains and makes sure every bits I use are sturdy (and tasty)! As my assistant, she will also gladly nap on the one item I absolutely need!
