Announcement For thousands of years people have been fascinated with the colorful magic that flames cause on copper, usually random colors—but now, using a simple, but esoteric method of coloring, we can get beautiful details and control the colors on copper using nothing but a torch.

The leaves are so realistic looking it’s amazing. Looks like real fall foliage!

Miriam came through as always. Quality is great, & artistry always amazes me. The colors are just beautiful, and it really reminds me of my little d’Uccles. Couldn’t be happier.

Beauty Out of Ashes!
Just as the Phoenix rose from the ashes to new life-- the idea for The Gypsy Phoenix rose from the ashes of my former life as a homeschool mom and farmer's wife. For years after my former life crashed and burned, I traveled the country like a gypsy until God brought me to a secluded town in the Ozarks where I met Skip Matthews, the developer of this unique method of copper coloring. He and his sweet wife, both experienced Flame Painters, took me under their wing and taught me how to use a torch to bring out the natural beauty of copper.
I produce my flame painted copper in my tent workshop from different locations in the USA and sell it in craft shows and boutiques around the country. Follow The Flame Painter on Facebook to find out my current location.
Etsy fills the gap of the down season by offering me another venue to bring my colorful copper creations before you. I hope you enjoy my flame painted art pieces, and I look forward to, perhaps, meeting you in person when I come to your town at a craft show!
If you would like to see a short video of the process, I have posted a very short demo that I did on You Tube.
You can use the link at the right that says, "Shop Website" to link to the demo video.
Thanks for visiting my shop. Please check back frequently since I am designing new products all the time.
Looking forward to sharing with you! Miriam

Flame colored copper has fascinated me since I was a little girl, and I have made jewelry since 1989 but the two interests came together 6 years when I was introduced to Flame Painting. A gypsy at heart, I am living in my RV and work in my tent.
