A new life adventure towards spreading happiness and beauty
I've always had a love for art and creating things, yet this was put on the sidelines for a large number of years. I dropped Art to do Physics, gained a degree in Artificial Intelligence (Computer Science), and got a job in a nuclear power station. This is where things changed.
I had a really hard time coming to terms with life - yes the money was good but where was the beauty? Where was the happiness and the art? I dreamt of creating lovely things whilst in the depths of despair and that's when I took the plunge to start my little online shop.
Happiness and creativity now comes above everything, and I strive to spread this happiness to my customers. There's not enough smiling and beauty in this world so I'd like to make sure my little corner of it shines brightly for me, and for everyone who passes through!
On this note - I am more than happy to try to create anything that you would like. If you see something in my shop yet envision it in a different way, I'm up for the challenge!
The name The Ivy Bee is inspired by my love of nature, and bees specifically. It is also an homage to my late Grandmother whom I never met. I wanted to honour her in some way, and this is my small contribution towards that goal.

How long will my order take to arrive if I'm not in the UK?
PLEASE NOTE: THIS INFO IS NOT ACCURATE DURING THE CORONAVIRUS CRISIS - ROYAL MAIL ARE NOT PROVIDING ESTIMATES ON INTERNATIONAL SERVICES
International shipping Estimates: 5-7 working days from dispatch
International shipping can vary based on the country, all of my parcels are sent via Royal Mail Airmail, and then are subject to customs in your country.
All international orders are sent using a tracked international service for a small amount more, and this will arrive much quicker and you can monitor your parcel on it's journey to you. This is estimated to take between 5 and 7 working days to the USA but again is subject to customs within your country.
Gift wrapping and packaging
Items from my shop come in a recycled eco card gift box with The Ivy Bee logo on it, in a cardboard shipping box that will fit straight into your letter box - no waiting in for the postman! If you purchase a larger number of items then the packaging will be larger and require a signature.
Multiple items will be packaged together unless otherwise specified (e.g. a matching earring and necklace will be in the same gift box). I do not include receipts or information about the stones you ordered as standard.
Sizing details
Ring sizing can be tricky!

I make to both UK and US sizes. All of my listings are set to UK sizes but I have an option at the top of the drop down list to select and leave a note with your order if you want a US size.
If in doubt it is a good idea to go to a local jeweler and get them to size you up.
Once I have made the ring to size, if you have chosen the incorrect size and wish to have it resized that is fine - I will however ask for a small fee to cover the return postage and fees. This amounts to £5 plus £2 per additional ring for UK buyers, for international buyers this will be more due to postage charges.
When will my order be dispatched?
Processing times: Usually 5-7 Days, depending on the item! Some items may take longer, especially if they require sending off for hallmarking. All information on individual items is available in each item description.
Each of my items are made by hand to order, even down to putting in boxes and taking to the post office. This means that your order can take between 5 and 7 working days to dispatch, sometimes it is sooner! If you need an items urgently please contact me via an email NOT a note to seller and I can try to accommodate your request.
There is a non refundable charge of £10 GBP to rush your order (subject to availability).
Can I return my items?
I do not accept returns on most items, as they are all made to your specific order with a few exceptions such as the larger wire wrapped pendants or if there is a fault with your item.
Returns are not accepted on custom orders, but any accepted returns NEED TO BE IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING. This is especially important when returning from international countries outside of the EU - make sure that the customs declaration makes it clear that you are returning an item - I can not be responsible for any customs charges incurred and your refund will be either refused or the customs charge taken from your return.
If the outer box is too damaged to return this is fine, just make sure that the original gift box is included in your return!
Can I get my ring Resized?
Of course! Resizing is £5 plus £2 per additional ring for UK orders, with free shipping. International orders are subject to a shipping fee.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
Due to the current crisis, international orders are suspended because of extended delivery times and wishing to reduce the load on the system.
International orders that have been sent out already but not delivered can be tracked using the tracking number provided on your dispatch note. Many will be stuck in customs right now as each country is working on a skeleton staff.
I work by myself in the office so there are no issues with regards to getting your orders created and out to you, however some of these items depend on my suppliers (gold for example is ordered in at the point of your order) and any delays will be communicated to you.

Postage within the UK
All packages are sent with the Royal Mail, with standard packages below £50 using an untracked service.
Orders for over £50 are usually sent using a signed for service.
These services are normally next day, although sometimes delays of up to a week occur during peak times (Christmas etc).
