About TheJoule

Sales 96
On Etsy since 2017

Womens natural beauty can be illuminated with the right piece of jewelry. My mission is to create pieces that make the wearer feel uniquely powerful.

Having been raised in a home in the countryside, I began collecting precious gemstones, fossils and relics from a young age. In my designs, I've incorporates the power of natural healing stones to create one-of-a-kind beautiful handcrafted items.

The name The Joule represents the transfer of energy (a joule in chemistry) from the natural healing stone and back into the wearer. It’s a delicate nudge reminding us to stop searching outside of ourselves for answers that simply live within all of us.

I believe that personal growth, spirituality and following your dreams doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing. It can be a curiosity, an interest, a slow journey, a learning process. It can be light, playful and beautiful. It doesn’t have to be tied to any specific practice or belief system and it can ebb and flow with your life.

My designs, much like myself, are the sartorial embodiment of ethereal ease... with just a hint of rebellion.

I am grateful to be able to design and create, I hope you can feel that too. I hope you enjoy.

Frequently asked questions
How and where are New Moon Joule pieces made?

All of my pieces are completely handmade by me in my home studio in San Francisco, California.

*One-of-a-kind: The pieces in this collection are one-of-a-kind, meaning each stone takes on it’s own unique natural form. All photos shown are samples. Product ordered will look very similar.

What is your current processing time? How long does it take for an order to ship out?

Almost all of my items are made to order, and are currently on a 3-5 day turnaround. Please note that as much as I would like to, most pieces cannot be rushed.

That being said, I do sometimes have pieces labeled as "made to order" actually in stock, so if you do need something rushed, send me a message anyways, we may be able to work something out.

What size should I order?

My women’s bracelets are usually made to be comfortable on a wrist that is about 6"-6 1/4".

Men's bracelets are made slightly larger and to fit a wrist measurement of exactly 6.5" and will fit most men.

I’m happy to customize on request. Please include your wrist measurement in the notes section at checkout and write "Wrist measurement: ______ inches."

TO GET THE PERFECT FIT: When selecting a size please note that it is based on actual wrist size, not the length of the bracelet. An easy way to measure is to put a string around the wrist then measure it against a ruler.

Care instructions

I advise taking your jewelry off before swimming and showering. The chemicals in pools and even the chlorine in drinking water can bleach even natural stones.

You may feel the need to cleanse your stones of negative energy. When this thought pops into you head, you may run your stones under running water for a few seconds with the intention to clear the energy. Intention is the most important part. You can also recharge your stones by placing them in the light of the full moon overnight, or on a selenite slab or tower indoors overnight.

Is this gemstone genuine?

Yes, if the listing says "amethyst", you will receive a genuine amethyst stone. Please read the product description in its entirety, as some gemstones may be referred to as "turquoise colored", but actually not be the gemstone commonly known as "turquoise".

Are all of your piece gift wrapped?

All bracelets will come with stone information and come ready to gift in a gift bag.

How do I choose a Mala?

Are you trying to connect with your perfect set of mala beads, but don’t know where to start? It’s a beautiful process, and I'm here to help.

It’s important to know that a mala represents something different to each person. It can be a tool for meditation. A reminder of an intention. A piece that inspires you. A beautiful manifestation of a feeling. Whatever it means to you, don’t judge or compare. Embrace your calling, and let it guide you in your choice.

While there is no wrong way to choose your mala, I have a few questions to help you on your journey (see next prompt below).

How do I choose a mala continued...

How to choose a Mala continued...
1) What are you drawn to?

I often tell people, the mala that you're drawn to first is the one you're meant to have. It can be that simple. Allow yourself to surrender and be lead by your heart. Once you find yourself eyeing a particular mala, get curious. Read the intention and meaning. I bet it will be exactly what you are needing in that moment.

2) What are you trying to manifest?
When searching for your perfect beads, I recommend you ask “What is my intention? What am I trying to manifest? Am I looking to cultivate more love in my life? More abundance? More strength?”

3) Will you be manifesting or meditating?(Or both)
Do you simply want a daily reminder of your intentions or a tool for meditation?
