About

a determined daydreamer pursuing her destiny.

Creating is my form of meditation, it keeps me sane. I have enjoyed and appreciated all forms of art since I was a little girl. I like painting, sketching, working with clay, sewing, even writing short stories/poems, but when I learned my first square knot, that was it. I escaped from everything around me and just focused on this design I could envision being worn out for everyone to see. I started selling on MySpace & Etsy back in 2008 as 'Still Life Creations'. That name just never felt right, and eventually with the help of a few people brainstorming together, The Knotty Rat's Nest was born in 2010.

The Knotty Rat's Nest creates hand-knotted one of a kind pieces using anything from organic, recycled, and/or natural materials to help bring each design to life. I put a lot of love and hard work into every single piece of jewelry I create, no matter the simplest of designs or more advanced knot work. I want every piece to be perfect and I will continue to push myself to create high quality jewelry for the world. I really believe each piece of jewelry has a specific person it was meant for. So check out the many pieces I have up, and if you don't see something that speaks to you, maybe you are looking for a custom piece. Feel free to contact me anytime on here or theknottyratsnest [!at] hotmail.com
