Announcement   Fall Pop-Up Shop AUGUST 15th - SEPTEMBER 10th! (All orders ship 9/11/15) /// ... facebook.com/thelibraryfaerie ..... http://thelibraryfaerie.blogspot.com/ ..... /// Vintage button jewelry & accessories, vintage jewelry & accessories, vintage books, and other bookish lovelies! ///

I work at my local library, and the wonderful books that surround me daily inspire my creations! I am also inspired by nature, music, and all sorts of geekery. =) I love to scour the local antique shops and flea markets in search of vintage buttons. They are unique, often one-of-a-kind, and there is such a sense of history and purpose attached to them! Each one has a STORY to tell. I also "upcycle" new buttons (if I didn't, there would be very few pairs of matching earrings!) but old buttons are my favorites, and the ones I try to rely on the most.

About

Bookish is the new black.

I'm happiest when I'm constantly making something or in the middle of a creative project of some sort. Besides that, I'm also a die-hard lover of books and all things bookish. Put all that together, and you'll see where this Etsy shop came from!

Of course, I had to give my shop (or "shoppe," as I so pretentiously call it) a name that reflected my bookish, nerdy, and creative personality. That's when I became "The Library Faerie!"

I love creating jewelry from lovely vintage buttons and other pretty materials. (Actually, I could lose hours just sifting through my button collection, examining the unique details on each one!) I also enjoy curating vintage jewelry from local antique shops and flea markets. Soon, I hope to expand and begin selling other items--vintage books, hand-sewn library bags and e-reader covers, retro fabric headbands...and we'll see what else I can cook up! So, stay tuned for exciting things happening at The Library Faerie's Shoppe of Trinkets & Curiosities!

Hi, my name is Anna...otherwise known as the "Library Faerie." Making jewelry (and other forms of crafting, too) is a hobby (verging on addiction!) of mine. I love to scavenge through antique stores and flea markets, looking for my number one favorite material to work with: vintage buttons. They are unique, often one-of-a-kind, and there is such a sense of history and purpose attached to them! Each one has a STORY to tell (and I love stories...) I also "upcycle" new buttons (if I didn't, there would be very few pairs of matching earrings!) but old buttons are my favorites, and the ones I try to rely on the most.
